What a GREAT tutorial! Your instructions and images are very clear. Thanks! I think the one color stitch looks more like how it would look if I seemed this by hand with a darning needle. The flat stitch join is a very attractive feature of this pattern. I could see varying it a few different ways to be even more decorative if your taste prefers... a contrasting yarn perhaps?

Thanks too for the tip about the garter stitch at the bottom. We late-night knitters might have missed that!
