@kathline9 I grew up in America and was part of what they call "the MTV generation". Back in the 80s/90s there wasn't youtube/internet like there is now. If you didn't see it on MTV you weren't really all that aware of it. I don't recall Kylie Minogue being played that much. I can see Gaga being influenced by Madonna but with Kylie Minogue I think people are getting a bit carried away. Some things can just be mere coincidence, can they not?

"Can't Get You Outta My Head" & "Love At First Sight" were both on the countdown & big hits for Kylie in America. She was on TRL the same time people like Britney & Christina were. If you watched TRL in the late 90's/early 2000's you would have definitely been introduced to Kylie & her music. She was also Tinkerbelle in Peter Pan & she was in Bio Dome too lol she's not huge here, but not unknown

I'm not a crazy Madonna fan. I much prefer Mariah Carey over Madonna. However, I totally agree that Madonna is one of the most influental women in music. She has brought out hit after hit and, although I'm not a die hard fan of hers, I think it's catchy and fun music. I prefer Kylie over Madonna by a long shot, and I love how she has stayed just as relevant as Madge has. However, I hate all these little GagMe fans ("Monsters" as they looove to be known) who think the GagMe is oh so unique.
It's just so obvious that GagMe _copies_ what Madonna and other greater artists have done. That's why I can't like her. I also hate that almost everything she does is to get attention. when I saw this video, it does immediately remind me of Lady Gaga, obviously Kylie's the original since hers came out earlier. The make-up, the glasses, the dance, they all resemble a lot. I don't think Kylie has many good songs, not entirely her fault...sometimes what's made available to her depends on various factors. Nonetheless, this one song in particular, is not impressive as Gaga. I am not sure why it gets so many reviews. I like her Cant' Get You Out of My Head more

@kathline9 I grew up in America and was part of what they call "the MTV generation". Back in the 80s/90s there wasn't youtube/internet like there is now. If you didn't see it on MTV you weren't really all that aware of it. I don't recall Kylie Minogue being played that much. I can see Gaga being influenced by Madonna but with Kylie Minogue I think people are getting a bit carried away. Some things can just be mere coincidence, can they not?

"Can't Get You Outta My Head" & "Love At First Sight" were both on the countdown & big hits for Kylie in America. She was on TRL the same time people like Britney & Christina were. If you watched TRL in the late 90's/early 2000's you would have definitely been introduced to Kylie & her music. She was also Tinkerbelle in Peter Pan & she was in Bio Dome too lol she's not huge here, but not unknown

I NEVER claimed Gaga only copied Minogue & not Madge. I believe she took from BOTH. Considering her age & the time Madge was at her biggest, & Minogue on TRL in the states, it's highly probable. I'm not a crazy Madonna fan. I much prefer Mariah Carey over Madonna. However, I totally agree that Madonna is one of the most influental women in music. She has brought out hit after hit and, although I'm not a die hard fan of hers, I think it's catchy and fun music. I prefer Kylie over Madonna by a long shot, and I love how she has stayed just as relevant as Madge has. However, I hate all these little GagMe fans ("Monsters" as they looove to be known) who think the GagMe is oh so unique.

when I saw this video, it does immediately remind me of Lady Gaga, obviously Kylie's the original since hers came out earlier. The make-up, the glasses, the dance, they all resemble a lot. I don't think Kylie has many good songs, not entirely her fault...sometimes what's made available to her depends on various factors. Nonetheless, this one song in particular, is not impressive as Gaga. I am not sure why it gets so many reviews. I like her Cant' Get You Out of My Head more

I love this song. Real happy tune... nice rhythm to it. I grew up watching Kylie from Neighbours to her pop career.
