I liked this very much, you guys are great musicians. Although I can see why you didn't, I think you should have played the theme right away, before the improvisation. I wanted it, and when i didn't get it I was distracted from the music. Great job anyway
No offense to that guy (he sure can play!), but here you can clearly see why Charles Mingus was a Genius, both as a player and as a compositor (and he was much more than that).
that pianist has an uncanny ability to not swing.

I started liking this version 2nd time round, which is a good sign - bad ass stuff. The recording (sound wise) is utter crap though.
