Think the language is oriya..a north indian dialect. I could not find a bengali tune that would generate the dance for chereography and this song set the right mood for the dance, but still the dance concept is Bangladeshi, the dress and so is the chereographer :-)
I know there aren't any Bangladeshis in this dance except myself, but it is a contemporary style of Bangladeshi dance where people from other cultures and songs are being exposed to a Bangladeshi experience.
We are doing a dance version of working in the fields. All the movements mimic using the shovel to plough the ground and sickle to cut rice and then watering the rice at the end which is shown by our rotational dance. So overall all actions relate to the work done on the fields, except that we didnt have any actual shovels or sickles and had to pretend we were carrying something in our hands.
