No It doesn't burn at all. It tastes like slightly salted water. When you spit it out you can see the residue it leaves behind. You know how it does that on cuts? It does it in your mouth too. So just make sure you get rid of all the suds and you should be fine.
Ive done it for about a week and yeah I have seen a difference in the whiteness of my teeth!
