  • Marchas Festivas Famosas

  • Euphonium and baritone playing this is awesome. Playing in High school marching band, and though I'm not doing this song, there are a number of Sousa selections.

  • Awesome marches! Never heard any from this man before- probably because I'm from Europe :P But still, pretty awesome! BTW, guys if you like marches, try any German march, they are the best in the world!!!

  • @NovemberVictor22

John Phillip Sousa is known as the king of the march. His most famous is arguably Stars and Stripes Forever, one of the most recognizable and patriotic American marches. He was one of the USA's greatest and most well known composers.

  • @TheEvilRatigan yes I see, his marches are really great! Never had a chance to hear them (well, we have plenty of German and Russians marches here), but still, it's always good to find out that there are more of them :)

  • I love playing trombone, but really enjoy the euphonium melodies in Sousa marches.

  • My friends in 8th grade hav 2 play this with the high school its so damn hard 2 play! I TRIED! IM DEAD!

  • My friends in 8th grade hav 2 play this with the high school

  • Playing this in a middle school regional band, gonna be awesome!

  • we are going to a competition and playing this piece. my teacher likes to talk a lot during class to im working on it at home to play it better when i go to school.

  • I played this song in high school and fell in love with it instantly! Now I'm playing it in my youth band.

  • Who performed that???

  • Ah, This song is wonderful but I'm so nervous to play it in our Wind Ensemble. I just recently moved up from fourth chair to first chair so it's kinda nerve-wrecking! But I hope my fingers won't break off at the flute/trilling part!

  • This is a great song and we play it every year at my high school's graduation. BTW what band is playing in the video?

  • hehehe this song is fun to play on the trumpet :D especially on 1st :D go trumpets!

  • This has one of the weirdest dog fights but it sounds amazing!

  • "On the march" feeling...childhood memories........

  • History RULES: Sousa wrote this march for his band's performance at the Pan American Exposition in Buffalo, NY, in 1901. Added to my 1901 playlist.

    Hear any year's music on my channel's playlists, a trip back in time . . . . . .

  • Thanks for posting this stuff.. I enjoy all types of music mainly smooth jazz..but the march king and his music will live forever

  • Es una delicia encontrar esta clase de musica en esta pagina social, muchas gracias por subirla y felicitaciones a quien lo hace.

    Un Abrazo desde Colombia

  • Playing this in district band this year. Fun stuff for a euphonium player, because we NEVER get the melody, and with this song we can play the melody as loud as we want.

  • Ahhh don't you love when you get it? But you really can't complain because I'm sure you get like 25978 solos anyways...

  • @VelosiT :D Euphonium :D

  • @VelosiT but remember loud isn't always good !

  • @VelosiT

That's nice. I'm a euphonium player as well, but I'm surprised that district band euphonium players do not get marches with the melody for euphoniums, as there pieces that have euphs as the melody like Marche de Parachutistes Belges.

  • @VelosiT IT IS TRUE EUPHONIUMS FOREVER

  • @VelosiT I love it. I just got this music today for regional band (euphonium). Sadly, the rest of my pieces are just as bad as the tubas, so I'm pretty much the bands metronome for the rest of the pieces

  • @VelosiT Lemme guess. High school band? :P

  • @VelosiT Sousa marches and the Euphonium go hand in hand like peanut butter and jelly.

  • @VelosiT nice try, euphoniums get the melody in all marches and in all concert stuff, trombones need the love!

  • @tr0mpwned What about tubas? In a march we may get a little FULL LOW BRASS SOLI, but we never get a TUBA SOLO? Haha,

  • @Leviferrebee1 I love reading band geek comments. It makes me feel like I'm not alone on this planet! ^_^

  • As a french horn player,I cannot stand Sousa. But as a music lover, I could listen to his music everyday.

    Stupid off-beats.

  • haha im a tubist so im just a wee bit in front of you ;) but i know what you mean. besides- arn't off beats the snare drummers job? And I also second ur latter statement.

  • ima bone, we do crazy stuff in his music too

  • @97pd48epbh how about semper fi? lol =P ever played rolling thunder? its a painnnnnn =) bones ftw

  • My school chose this as one of our summer marching band songs. It was awesome.

  • I like this SONG!

  • I used to play the bells in marching band. Definitely not the most noticeable instrument in the band, but they're very fun to play.

  • marching bands rock

  • @loveco13 hell yeah bro

  • I play the alto sax, and i got 2nd part. Itsa great march, cereally!

  • You mean like Cheerios and Shreddies?

  • i play piccolo and flute in band and this was the first piece i played piccolo in. after the first runthru my fingers were exhausteedd!

  • that was such a fun song in band. luckily i got the clarinet 2 part, playing the melodies on the high g is annoying

  • this song is very tiring to play

  • especially when ur a tubist and ur blowing the hell out of the tuba

  • its not a song its a march

  • Bellisimaaaaaa marcha :)
