AWD with a twin clutch transmission means unbeatable off the line performance. 750 ft/lbs of torque through a standard transmissions means smoke. I.ve driven several vipers without the blower and can tell you first gear is useless especially on shitty tarmac like this. 60mph-160mph race and watch that nissan get smoked. Half the fun is driving a car that is a handfull to controll not 0-60 numbers.

@toyota4you think about it, the torque of an engine has to turn all sorts of gears and axles, which in turn takes power from the engine from the strain. Well when you go and add a 35% more gears and axles and everything else by getting an all wheel drive car the engine has to work even hard to put the power to the wheels. So thinking that AWD is perfect and should be on every car your just a ignorant fool whole believes everything you hear. at this point if your not catching on im done arguing.

You would have explained it if you knew. Torque is a measure of how much a force on an object causes it to rotate. Horsepower is just an easier way of telling how much force something can rotate at a certain RPM. Basically horsepower is how much work, and torque how much force. So, if you had 350 ft pounds of torque at 3000 rpm that would equal 199.9 hp. at 4000 rpm it would = 266.5 hp, the more rpm, the horsepower you will have. At 5252 rpm is were the horsepower and torque are always the same.

@niceboy60 You would have to be a fool to say all American cars are bad launchers, the only reason the GT-R does as well as it does is because its all wheel drive and REALLY easy to drive, which in a way defeats the purpose of a race car. A viper with twin turbos and all wheel drive with all the driving assist as the GT-R, there would be no hope for the GT-R.

completely focused in out of control wheel spinning which looks great at low speeds , but if we have in mind some of this muscle cars reach almost 200 mph , the great drifting ability's become replaced by only one word ( reckless)
the small Audi S3 from 1998 comes with AWD to make sure it can put its 215hp on the road
IT seems DUMB to PUT 710 HP in car and not making sure it can put its power on the road

@niceboy60 Idk where everyone got the idea that all wheel drive was the answer, its not, it kills top speed and in some cases handling. And in fact, these "poorly manufactured" American cars have been seen raping costume imports with cheap and plain after market parts from the dealerships. EVEN THE SRT-4! I have experienced a lot with American cars vs imports, and you would know what i mean if you shared these countless experiences. There cheap and easy to turn into race cars, done right.

@toyota4you think about it, the torque of an engine has to turn all sorts of gears and axles, which in turn takes power from the engine from the strain. Well when you go and add a 35% more gears and axles and everything else by getting an all wheel drive car the engine has to work even hard to put the power to the wheels. So thinking that AWD is perfect and should be on every car your just a ignorant fool whole believes everything you hear. at this point if your not catching on im done arguing.

@junktoyota I do know what torque is. And I also know that a V10 engine has a much higher inertia than a Twin-Turbo V6. Also, dynamic 4-wheel drive provides better traction and a double clutch transmission will change gears in only a fraction of the time it would take in the SRT-10.

You would have explained it if you knew. Torque is a measure of how much a force on an object causes it to rotate. Horsepower is just an easier way of telling how much force something can rotate at a certain RPM. Basically horsepower is how much work, and torque how much force. So, if you had 350 ft pounds of torque at 3000 rpm that would equal 199.9 hp. at 4000 rpm it would = 266.5 hp, the more rpm, the horsepower you will have. At 5252 rpm is were the horsepower and torque are always the same.

Dodge did not make the viper to do doughnuts, they made it to have power, handle good, and kick everyone else asses around tracks (which it did majorly succeed in). The viper might be stupid, but it will kick the GTR ass in anything but practicality, and obviously you don't give a fuck that the viper is the BETTER car, you would rather prefer the grandpa/grandma car since it doesn't burn your leg when you exit it.

@oleyokey06 the ZR1 and SRT10 destroy the GT-R stock for stock in every aspect expecially the 1/4- what a stupid ass comment you made - your basing car performance on a modded GT-R vs a simple supercharged 8.3liter convertible old viper, its a convertible so its less aerodynamic and its an old 8.3liter wich is 7years old. the 8.4liter makes a big difference- GT-Rs get destroyed by SRT10s and Get massacred by ACRs
