This is not that difficult...a little high school math and 5 minutes are needed to make such a device. :) However, it does exceed the knowledge of the general GMOD users AFAIK.
Kind of like the Koaxial drive, more than a warp drive. Bending the frame of space to instantaneously arrive at a destination point from the origin. Either way, it's pretty sweet to have handy.
Man, this would be useful fighting people with shields on their stuff. Just run into the shield, and then jump yourself just enough that you are inside...
This is much more than a hoverdrive controller. It uses geometry and trigonometry with GPS and gyroscopes to figure out where you are and where to teleport you.
With a normal hoverdrive controller, you need to enter an exact X,Y, and Z cordinate to go to. With this drive, all you have to do is tell it how far you want to go forward, right, or up, and it will teleport you there from your current position. Much more user friendly and required a lot of time, math, and work between two people.
Do you have an expression or chip layout we can all see, I've been using the vector functions in the e-chip but your way might be better. Unfortunately the video only shows it working, now how it works.
It uses the wire HoverDriveController along with a formula that determines, given two GPS coordinates and offsets, the third GPS coordinate to "land" at. The big deal is that it can maintain directions like "forward" or "right" in 3-D space with orientation.
ok, that was cool, i would really like to know how...great looking ship by the way, very aesthetically pleasing. anyways, please look at my channel and see the walkers and ship ive created, and any comments are welcome =)
Can you explain how it works exactly
