Who is this? What is the name of your band? This is so refreshing!! I am 47 years old, and have been playing live and in studios since the seventies. Have also seen the Dead , and Jerry Garcia Band....therefore...I am qualified to say..You guys are great!!! I'm sure you probably play all kinds of stuff... but you are on to something here. this is a nice jam, but i feel like you kind of lost the slow-tempo'd, very wandering groove that the dead laid down. of course, the nature of the song and band is improvisation, and i congratulate you for taking your own modest spin, i guess i'm just a purist. its just i like to think of fire as a very easy, tumbling along aimlessly, a meander if you will. this feels more like a phishy, gotta jibboo uptempo groove out.

The tempo and, in particular, the vocals are very similar to Mickey Hart's version (I believe with his band Mystery Box) as I saw it performed at the Further Festival tour.
