His moveset in SSBM actually fits him better than Cap Falcons. Ganondorf can fly, therefore his up+B makes sense. In OoT Ganondorf fires electric orbs from his, therefore his up+B, Dair and standing neutral A make sense because he's inflicting electric damage. Ganondorf's Fair is also the same attack he uses to punch the ground when Link hits him with a boomerang as he's flying, only in OoT it causes a tremor.

@TheGreatAges You think his forward aerial resembles his ocarina of time punch? I don't think so he goes straight downwards with the ocarina of time one and recovers very quickly from it. I do think that particular attack comes from somewhere and I have told CrappyCaptureDevice where so hopefully we'll see it in his brawl version of this video.

i didnt really mind in melee that ganondorf's moveset was based off of captain falcons but i loved using him in melee he was so fun to fight with and against him but in brawl i hate everything about him he looks ugly and cartoony as hell and his moveset sucks and hes just overall a waste of a character

I THINK WE CAN ALL AGREE - We were excited when we heard of him back then, then massively disappointed when he turned out to be Captain Falcon. I thought for sure his moves would be:

B- The spark he throws in OoT, or a B charge move and have it be the big black hole spark thing.

Side+B - Not sure back then, but since Wind Waker and Twilight Princess a use of his sword or twin katanas would be sweet.

Down+B - The ground smash he does to break the floor in OoT.

Up+B - Cape hover attack

Ganondorf low jumping height and speed helps greatly in his stomp (down A on air) and most of his moves, anyhow, Captain Falcon is still a good character, as he also have his advantages

It's why he is slower than Falcon. Therefore, Ganon is better.

Ganon is also probably the strongest character in the game.

BECAUSE he is slower he's worse, he may be stronger, but before he can react (if he's played by a not so skilled player) Falcon will combo and knee rape the shit out of him (if the Falcon is played by a skilled player) but still it's all a matter of skill but in theory Falcon is better

Out of all the quick characters in smash bros, I have proven myself terrible at them. I believe faster characters offer poor accuracy. The poor accuracy I believe is because a character is so fast while controlling them, it's hard to time their hits with distance. This is hard to explain over the internet.

That's why I play mid-slow characters.

This was 9 months ago, but Falcon Punch was actually thought up when F-Zero came out for SNES. When you bought F-Zero the instruction booklet had a little comic inside of it. C. Falcon uses the Falcon Punch in there.

The Warlock Punch is a great example since he takes the same stance as Capt Falcon. The Flame Choke (side-b) on the ground sends your foe in the air just like the Raptor Boost (side-b Capt. Falcon).

The animation of his "dark dive" is different, and Warlock Punch is slightly faster and can be reversed. His dash animation is also different and slightly slower. Everything else is basically the same, cept of course for the side-b.
