I can,t see the point of 8 strings like this! i mean you have already added an extra bass string with a 7 string,so is it not more logical to add an extra high string like they do on fanned fret 8 strings like the rusty cooley rc8 fanned fret! by adding an extra bass string and increasing the scale,your entering the bass territory! why!

For the style i play its very effective, i love the sound of that low F, its awesome. if it had an extra high string instead of a low string it would be worthless to me cuz i enjoy playing big riffs, but for someone who wants to noodle around all day, an extra high string would be in their favor. The more strings, the more possibilities

@hard8band Fair comment! The style i play!(extreme shred) a low F and increased scale would be useless to me so i guess its just what works for your style! check out rusty cooleys 8 strings he has 2 versions one fanned fret high(A) and one with an increased scale low F that you would like!

@jonrg77 I prefer a 7 string with an extra high string because of the pedal tones I use in most neo-classical metal. No doubt it's a cool guitar to noodle with but everyone has their own taste.

@xlxfinaldeathwishxlx You don't loose any tone at all with a 7 string but 8 strings, the tone is very different when playing 6 string stuff

Nice Damien Elite man, I wish I could play and have one of those. I just got a copy of a Schecter Omen 8 string (walnut satin) color a few days ago and made a video of it the next day. Have you experimented with other Schecter model 8 strings such as the Omen 8?

@hard8band The pickups are pretty good for what they are, plan on using different ones when I have enough. The only thing I would have a problem with is getting up to the 24th fret takes a tiny bit of work, but other than that, it's a sweet guitar. Did 2 covers with it and 2 other 'review' videos for it. At first it was a bit of an adjustment for the hands, but I'm used to it now. How long did it take you to get used to 8 strings?

@hard8band It took me about the same amount of time to play on the 8s without getting my hands tired, then again my hands aren't the biggest but enough to where I can get around. Yea I don't hear that many good things about the LTD 8s, I'm guessing you played the ESP LTD SC-208? I hear those models (SC) don't have the cleanest tone but I played an ESP LTD MH-417 I believe it was and it felt amazing and the EMGs on there sound good.

@hard8band This video was actually what had me go out and buy the Schecter Damien Elite instead of an Ibanez 8. Not a big fan of Ibanez. The Schecter just had a better feel and quality to it. But I hope that you continue to make music as long as ideas flow through your head. Regardless if you hit the top or not, you'll know you had a good time in the process and plenty of people enjoyed your music. That's what it's about. A musician that works hard for himself is one I can respect.

Not kidding, every time we play live there's at least one person that comes up saying they can't believe how huge our tone is. It's really all about settings, i used to play out of an ampeg bass head thru the mesa cab. If u got the ear u can make anything sound good accept a marshall haha

@xDavJonathanx Yep that's all im using, no other whacky pedals or anything. I don't know the exact settings but it's a tweaked version of the Meshuggah setting. Not sure what model cab it is, i think it's the standard straight 4x12 mesa cab.

I love my agiles, they sound awesome and are a lot of fun to play, but they just lack in quality compared to bigger brands like schecter & esp. I myself would be very leery buying another agile, you just dont know what ur gonna get. Rondo doesn't inspect shit and their customer service is total garbage.
