  • I really enjoyed your video.

I get together once a week with several writers and work in silence for a few hours. It's like study hall in school and makes a great jumpstart to the week.

The hardest part is the first draft. Just write, write, write, whether you feel like it or not. I don't wait for my muse. Some days she must be out at the mall having coffee while I'm slaving over the laptop. Once I have the first draft down, though, writing becomes fun.

    Good luck with your books!

  • Hi SamGallagher12! I agree, there are many times when I show up, THEN the must shows up! Thanks!

  • Great that you feel like writing all the time... that is RARE from what I know! Enjoy it!

  • For me butt glue dos not work for me. what really works for me is writing when I feel like it, and I feel like writing all the time. For me the discipline in it is to stop writing when I know that I'm writing crap. Because I'll go all night even if my creativity is on empty. so for me that is the what my discipline is

  • Thank you for posting this video! It will help me to complete my fantasy novel!

  • Awesome!!! Glad to hear it. You know the old saying if you can touch one life in a positive way, you're even. Touch two, you are golden. May you touch many!

  • gotta figure out what really does work for you then... maybe the concept of discipline you have doesn't work for you... or maybe you have other reasons, hard to say. But for sure, authoritative discipline styles don't work for me! Thanks for commenting!

  • I have absolutely no writing discipline. That's why I haven't written anything for two years.
