works just fine took me 2 mins with this tutorial thanks very very much i did it b4 but forgot where the files went lol thatnks for the refresher course :)
@sparky1570784 Well, I know your comment is 4 months old, but if you haven't already figured out how to fix your Xbox, you can try hotswapping (Google "The Art of Hotswapping," and the first link you see should point to an Xbox-Scene link). Follow the directions given in the guide to the point. Once you have finished, then you must follow the Youtube video's instructions and instead of replacing C:\evoxdash.xbe you will replace E:\ROOT\default.xbe.
@zSonata yeah dont worry about this i fixed it.. i found a way to restore my xbox without hot swaping and its easy too. and thats not the best part about it.... i had a friend who had a xbox with the latest dashbord and i couldnt soft mod it. but with the method i found out i dont have to hot swap and i downgraded his xbox to a dashbord that is exploitable and from there i softmoded it and earned my self $30. i made a video on how to do it... oh and it also solves any error code too!
Good Vid. Another extra step of precaution in case you upgrade XBMC alot and happen to make a small error and it boots incorrectly is to rename evoxdash.xbe to avadash.xbe instead of evoxdash_backup.xbe or whatever the alternate booted dash is for your Bios.
thanks I installed xbox live update by mistake and had to re-hack the damn thing and then couldn't install xbmc so this helped me get xbmc back with all its settings exactly the way they were.... saved me alot of time :)
Ok, it took me a month, but I've got my xbox working again, and I finally got XBMC as my default dash. I did this, except my evoxdash.xbe file that needed to be replaced was on my E: drive. I don't really understand why, but when I changed it on the C: drive it didn't load any dashboard at all.
Worked great. Thanks a lot.
