You may be right. To my ear I thought this gear configuration was well suited for this genre, but that's the thing about tone, it can be quite subjective. Thanks for the feedback - Ron
Thanks for checking out the vid. The guitar I'm using on this one is a "Godin" and the model is "Detour". Godin is a Canadian company - the guitar parts are made in Canada and the guitar is assembled in the U.S. It's an entry level guitar and it seems perfectly suited to get that late seventies and early eighties new wave / punk sound - Ron
wow, nice playing but save the guitar and signature. They are both are worth a ton in sound and what your children will get later. Maybe play the crap out of it like you show but save the finish. Just saying from a 49 year old that has done it and wish it was original.
Thanks man and good advice. I just purchased this guitar used a few months ago and the finish on it seems surprisingly resistant and durable. I also bought a hardshell case for it. Thanks for viewing and commenting - Ron
Thanks for this! :-) It does move up to fret 7 at 2:16 in the song. They weren't renowned for their complex or intricate guitar arrangements but it was pretty effective anyways - Ron
I listened to them a lot many years ago. However, I was at beach volleyball event recently with thousands of young participants and I was amazed at their reaction when this song was played. This inspired me to re-visit their catalog and possibly do a cover or two. Thanks for checking it out - Ron
Thanks dude. It gets complicated to find band mates with the same objectives, musical tastes, time availability, geographic proximity, etc. That's what makes YT so appealing. Later - Ron
nice
