Well I still get some fluctuations but this increased my download rate tenfold. The upload speeds are something that is different for everybody though so that's something that the users have to tweek themselves. A good upload can help your download alot too since that's how BitTorrent works.

Absolutely great video. You should do another for the latest version of uTorrent. I'll bet you can get it to go even faster. :)

@Monti3395 This should work for anywhere unless your internet company is limiting your ability to torrent. If you can't get this to work look up how to check if you are being throttled and if you are maybe look into VPN network stuff.

So I followed your video and everything was going great. But every time I stop a DL and then restart it, I get really slow DL speeds like 30 kb/s (average is 300 kb/s highest was 1.1 mb/s. What do I do to make the DL fast again?

@JoexDennis I don't really think there is a way to fix that. The reason it does that though is because your computer has to find new seeders to seed the file and they aren't always the fastest upload speeds. Once your computer finds a bunch of seeders you start seeing those faster speeds.

@haarlemmerolie I will let people people know it won't work for all when I know what is causing it not to work. Cause it really should help. My only ideas of what your issue could be is:

- missed a small step maybe?

- didn't open the port on your router? (You might have to also allow the port through windows or your firewall on your computer)

- the file you are testing this with doesn't have sufficient seeds an d therefore can't produce the numbers you where hoping for.

Sometimes some things don't work for everyone and it isn't any reason to go berserks with language about how you hate the person who tried to help give you info. Also most people have found this very helpful and have not had an issue but I can't really help you any farther. I'll I can say right now is go back to your other settings.

Also instead of winning, if it didn't FUCKING work for you just revert back to your old settings. OMG, I can swear as well with better English and grammar to boot.

Also I do hope you realize your speed is partly determined by people seeding the file to you. If peope stop seeding torrent speeds drop no matter what you do.

its slow because you have so many lechers compared to seeders. It is also only using 33 seeders because i think it tries to have a set of seeders per set of lechers or something like that.

you probably don't have many seeders for the file. If there are very few you wont get high download speeds no matter what you do.

i think that means you are getting some seeds from only 15 people and their are 52 possible seeds that are seeding others. If there are not a lot of leachers that can be ok but if say you have like 200 leachers you are not going get good download speeds. Also a little depends on what those seeders internet speed is.

Did you make sure that there is a good amount of people seeding the file as well? Seeders play a big role when not very few are seeding the file.

oh that...I don't change it. I leave it at it's default. If you are doing other things and don't want to slow down your downloads then turn it to high but other than that it really shouldn't matter.

dude it's not false...the download speed also depends on how many seeders/leachers that file has and how fast their connections to the internet are. It also depend on your own download speed from your internet company .

This also is not a 100% guarantee for everybody but it seems to work with a lot of peoples.
