You're the first one who made me play this song successfuly, only on the end, it's a little confusing, I can not use two octaves to chords, because I only have a keyboard of 61 keys. Therefore, I try as best as possible to only use one octave.

got normal keys - not piano keys however. tried merging a couple of octaves together, and except for the chord transition in the middle it seems to fit. but the music is still not anywhere close. buying anew one anyway with Piano keys :)

I can finally play this song,but now I have another question (more general):for christmas I had the sustain pedal for my keyboard and now I'm practicing with that but is there a way (maybe some trick they teach at piano lesson) to know exactly when you have to press or release it or you just do what you feel like?thanks

I had the same problem. You don't want to overpower the sound when playing with the pedal held down. Now, I haven't had any lessons, but what I tend to do is to release it every time you play a full chord with both hands, or at least a couple of notes simultaneously, right *after* you play them. It'll give the sound some sorta accent and power, and you don't overkill the sound with the pedal.

If you have a 76? key Electronic keyboard, you might have a transpose option. At least on mine (I have the same problem) you can transpose the notes -12 (down 1 octave) and then you can play all of this, just your right hand will be really close to the top edge!

I took piano lessons for a year but had to move before my first exam. I quit for three years and in that time I played random songs that were above my grade. Counted notes from middle C. [Pathetic! But when I still took lessons, it was how I played anyway, I counted every note from middle C because my sight-reading sucked]

I went back to piano earlier this year but without grading, and my teacher lets me play grade 4 classical songs. I can play them now with okay sight reading.

Actually the people it's really difficult for are the people who can't make the reach. I can do an octave, but just barely, and hitting the right notes in between is nearly impossible for me. Small hands suck.

I can just barely do an octave too. This 'epic finish' bit is getting me. I realized for the B flat octave - G octave skip, it helps to start off real slow and gradually speed up. Sometimes I hit the notes in between by accident but the sustain pedal kinda masks them. Small hands *really* suck.
