This ending was great, I like that it leaves ryan and taylor's relationship ambiguous...it's as if they hadn't seen each other in a couple of years and she just smiles at him...really cool. But some may see it in a different light, plus this song is really good.

From 0:00 whole scene felt so strange when I saw it first time. Like what, is it over now? Why they could not continue it. Greatest tv-show ever and it just ends. There just wont be tv-show like The O.C, never. From the first season viewers falled from 10 millions to 4, and they just decided that 4 millions is not big. Great, fucking great FOX.

Okay listen. Marissa (mischa actually) is the one who ended the show. Had she not decided to leave, the ratings would have stayed high. And there more than likely woulda been a 5th+ season. And on the other hand, marissa was whiney and annoying and screwed up Ryan's life! The end. Especially in season 3 (w/ volchok) it's like she wanted to die!? She was just annoying. So was Taylor. But then again, I never liked any of Ryan's gfs. So whatever.

@VMars24TheOC Hate to break it to you, but if you hate Marissa so much, there's no possible way you can be a true fan of the O.C. Don't mean to be rude, but... Marissa WAS the O.C. Well, maybe that's an exaggeration but like 80% of the show was her and Ryan's relationship. It was the foundation for the show - the main drama came from them, not to mention the most memorable and heartbreaking moments. Plus, I liked her character in general.

There's no O.C. without Marissa. It's just a fact.

I really hate how they put the Marissa flashback. No, I'm glad they put it there, but like... only mentioning Marissa once?! The entire show WAS Ryan and Marissa. And it doesn't even feel like Ryan is "remembering" seeing Marissa there, like the other flashbacks, the scene is just kind of there. Marissa was the most important character, after Ryan of course... they should have mentioned in her more in the finale.

I just got through watching the frist 4 episodes for season 1 and then i went on the computer to find this ending of season 4 the ending is really sad.And happy Ending.

But on Season 3 i was so shocked that Marrisa died. He carried Marrisa just like Episode 1 from season 1 and Episode 5 from when they went to mexico.

@gimnazijalac010 Basically, Summer goes off to the GEORGE thingy, Seth goes off to college in Rhode Island, and Ryan goes to Berkley, with Taylor I think. The Cohens are moving out of the house in Newport and back the to the family home where they stayed before Newport, in Berkley. So yeah, thats pretty much it :)

i am a guy who loved this show.. never missed an episode. when they aired this i split my head open 2 hrs before the show and had blood all over me. my family forced me to go to the hospital so i got mad but they won.. anywho with blood running down my head i went to my room and set the recorder to watch it in case i was still in the ER. i came home with 6 staples in my head, a bad headache and with dried up blood on the remote.. turned it on and watched it. The OC will 4ever be in my heart.
