Sooo i guess trying to learn from sgt rumbaugh (Clayton Rohner) from BAT*21 was a waste of time afterall then lol, ill try your method and see how it works out man cheers.
wtf, i try my ass off in flightsim 2004, all it does is drop outta the air nose down, cant pull it up or anythin :S im using the default bell jetranger :S
you need to do exactly as I explained. You need to be going faster than 60 knots, but try to keep your falling speed at 60 kts cause too slow and the blades stop spinning and you spin and drop like a rock. too fast and it makes it harder to flare and land safely. you end up shooting back up into the sky too high and then its too late to correct it and you drop like a rock. pay attention to it being done in the video, you'll get it. MAKE SURE your throttle is all the way down till you flare then
its a manouver for engine trouble, so you have to do it without any power on the blades, by the way, if i let the engine running, i spin like a blender XD
Just wondering if you've done it in real life? I was watching your videos of Bell 47 flights over Staten Island was that you as PIC or your instructor? I live in Staten Island - right by CSI - and fly out of Linden. My first flight there, but I only fly fixed winged - C182/172 etc (N4468N-My first, she's at Linden part of the PFC). As far as Rotor wing experience all I have is Flight Simulator and I just got into em so I'm fairly good depending on the chopper.
No, I wish. I'm dying to fly a helicopter!! And I live by CSI my self! How funny is that? lol The flying in the Bell 47 was a helicopter ride. There's a guy on SI that gives them outta linden for like 200 bucks. His name is charlie. If you wanna know how to contact him let me know I'll find his # for ya
Yea mate that would be wonderful. Send it via a Private Message I guess, thx! One more question on the video you posted of the Rhinebeck Airshow, were you piloting that aircraft?
No, the only plane I did fly (yes 1 plane) was a cessna 152, and I didn't get it on video :( I got pics instead. I regret not getting video. And sure, I'll pm you the info.

raise the throttle as your flaring to cushion the landing
