I know we performed this play at my school about a year ago, my ex-best friend was the "White King". It joys me greatly now to see what he's supposed to look like in the movie. x) (ps. am i the only one who thinks he also looks like Dr. Eggman?O.o)
@theamvgirlx well maybe she just reached the pique of her intellect at a very young age ....
when i was that age i just became a first grader they offered me to skip 3 grades at once sadly i'm under the impression i haven't gotten any smarter since then probably quite the contrary i believe ....
my school did a musical of through the looking glass. i was humpty dumpty and i had a country accent and chicken back-up dancers! it was alot of fun!!
@Adler36@AtariandHellokitty To an extent the Red Queen is deceiving. It's Carroll's own socio-cultural remark to not immediately trust those merely because they own titles. But this is only one of the layers of meaning.
Hahaha! Humpty Dumpty makes me laugh. It's a shame they left out the bit where he talks about his unbrithday.Speaking of which, it's my unbirthday today! AAAAAAAAA VERY MERRY UNBIRTHDAY TO ME!!! Oh no, I've gone into Disney mode . . .
I know this is Through the Looking Glass. But in the book, Humpty Dumpty mentions that the White king and Queen gave him his cravat for his un-birthday. For some reason, Disney put the whole un-birthday thing in the tea party scene when they did their version of Alice in Wonderland. (including the un-birthday song). In the book version of Alice in Wonderland, the Mad hatter and the March hare were only having a tea party. : )
This version has retained a lot of the dialogue from the book, which is great to see. -- It means that it also retains some of the intellectual depth of the book.
Actually, it's not. Those are in fact supposed to be "all the king's horse and all the king's men" who have come to help Humpty Dumpty. Also, the king himself mentions them a few seconds later.
@Movie06 It isn't actually, as someone else already pointed out. But there are some big lipped alligator moments in this movie- the scene with the flowers and the gnat, for example, and the wasp.

It's hard to believe she's 7. Not just her looks but her intellect. I'm supposed to be smart for my age but I was never THAT smart at 7...

I thought that the it was Hatta and Heiga not Hare
IlovePOTO3 2 years ago
Actually, Heigha is the phonetic transcription of hare. You pronounce them exactly the same.
Spyritus 2 years ago
@Spyritus Haigha* Pronounced 'Mayor' as dictated by Carroll in one of his journals.

6:04-6:30 That my friends is a Big Lipped Alligator Moment.
You'd have to watch The Nostalgia Critic's Ferngully review to get the joke.
