G, I live in New Zealand and spend winter getting schooled up from your vids then give it all a go in our season...Am lovin your advice on cleaning out the inside weak growth and the outside strong growth to balance the tree thru the middle growth.....Nz has some awesome native podacarps and a great range of northofagas cousins to your copper beech. you should try get ahold of one...Lovin it all mate, keep it commin.
Graham, what type of screws do you use when you need to place a screw in the trunk to attach a guy wire? Are there any screws or finishes on screws that you should not use?
I thought the tree looked good before you started to work on it but afterwards was an amazing transformation and it did infact look nicer when it was done.
There's a lot of bonsai videos on Youtube, but none of the quality of your videos. Fantastic material and a fantastic result. Thanks for posting this!!
Another magnificent job, captured on video. I just dug up my own sylvestris, here in Sweden, and I'm keen as ever on getting to work with it next year - HOWEVER - please Graham, the hard-driving beat and rythm of this sound track is so distracting. And that it is accompanied with a vocal ...... well!!! What were you thinking?
First of all, the material used here was fantastic, but with your skillful hands you once again have transformed it into an amazing bonsai tree. You're amazing, Graham. Now give it to me!
I always say "how could you?" as you chop off a large branch. Then when the tree styling is completed I say "Man, he's good!" and let my jaw drop. Great vids and great work. Thank you.
Absolutely beautiful! Congratulations Graham! I was missing your videos! They make me keep going with my little trees! I hope one day I could do at least half or your skills! Regards from a fan from Brazil!
Just wanted to put in a request, I just wondered if you would make a video about a sweet gum tree, liquidamber styraciflua, as I have just received one.
I think all that torching and splitting and cutting are torturous. O_O

What would be an estimated marked value of such a fine yamadori? It looks great even before work is done on it!

I'm wondering if he didn't choose the wrong side for the front. Those dead branches in the back sure are visually interesting.
