@mooose09 actually yea i have raced an eco but not a 6.2 from 0 the eco pulled well and kept up with my truck it was very close but my hemi pulled ahead very slowly towards 75 to 80mph. from 30mph roll i pull away everytime and we did 2 runs each. i failed to record it and thats on me but i say believe what you want im not hating i expected to lose to the ecoboost but i won and the guy even asked what im running and its 100% stock

Not sure why everyone has heartache with Ford putting this engine in, its a great motor. It isn't a traditional engine and I would think that gear heads would be allover the technology part of it. Mine runs great and I wouldn't trade it for any other truck or brand.
@GunnyClint Thats why I like it. So what if it doesn't have the rumble and raw power of a V8? Why is everyone so hesitant to accept this motor? TT motors are great, I have one in my old Audi S4. Fantastic. Power of a V8 with better fuel economy. Seriously, whats not to love? And you still get gobs of low-end torque. And it's got 4 cams, 4 vales per cylinder WITH direct injection. Most automakers are making cars with turbos or superchargers... name a brand that doesn't. But I guess you know better than the people who make these cars.
once again ford needs to put a twin turbo or supercharger on their vehicles to be relevant i would hope a twin turbo would beat a naturally aspirated engine and i know its a v6 im not even a dodge guy i just get a kick out these guys loving their ecoboosts theyre going to really love it when the turbos go around 70000 miles and the warranty doesnt cover it have fun
@lightbud21 Why would the turbos go at 70k miles? Mazda and Acura started running turbos I-4 in midsize suv's 3-4 years ago. The turbos in the f150 are water cooled. Turbos in diesel trucks often last the life of the truck.
@jordtizzle I didn't know they did but historically the mustangs have been much lighter than the other muscle cars I believe it though I've driven in a 2010 bullitt edition mustang and that thing hauls ass
@lightbud21 well the 2010 are nothing compared to the 2011. The new 5.0 is a monster rated at 412hp but much closer to around 435. Dont get me wrong i like the new camaro as well, but the mustang is the better car finally.

This truck has either 3.31's or 3.55 Limited slip. Its not an FX4 with 20's so it can't have 4.10. It doesn't have Off Road package (sticker on box side is just 4x4), so it doesn't have 3.73 Elocking, it has the small mirrors so it's not a Max tow edition so it can't have the 3.73 Limited slip. That only leaves 3.31 or 3.55 Limited slip gears. 3.15's are only with 4x2's.
@malkowskitube.....i think you are wrong....the truck in the vid is an xl....and either way the standard gear with ecoboost in xl version is the 3.73 and for the record most of the trucks ford orders have the 3.73 gear...and that ram absolutely has a 3.21 gear......a 3.73 supercab f150 runs 14.98 as tested....most 3.92 geared rams stock quad cab run 14.7x'ss...other then a programmer mine is stock and runs 14.12.....
The Ram R/T has a 4:10 rear end with a loose torque converter!! It's pounds the power to the pavement! Would be a close race and ecoboost vs. and R/t! I just think north americans cars shouldn't have turbos! I do like the fact ford is trying! Lol
Fake or not the ecoboost are bad ass trucks and im a hardcore dodge guy now, I've owned both and do love my ford but dodge really screwed up with the 3.21 rear end, I've got a 3.73 in my 07 hemi and my brothers stock titan with a 4.10 rear end gets me on the low end everytime, if dodge grew a pair and threw a 4.10 gear set in the new hemi's even the 6.2 would have a hard time against it, again I've owned both loved both and am mainly mopar but dodge screwed up
the ecoboost does run well.....but you are still comparing apples to oranges with that 3.21 rear gear equipped ram.......the base gear in the ecoboost package is 3.73's.... the ecoboost vs a 3.92 or 4.10 ram is a whole different story....ill put up a video response in the next couple days to show what im talking about.....
@yerocniluh Ecoboost XLT (Which is in the video) comes with 3.15 stock, but you can get as a 3.31, 3.55, or 3.73 E-Locker or LS as an option. 3.73's only come standard on the FX4 and is also an e-locker. There are videos of a 3.73 e-locker crew cab with TC off getting sub 6 second 0-60 times. There is no Dodge Ram made right now that will come near that. Just figured I'd clear the air.
