Now this was the time when saying you was from Detroit was something to be proud of! The Electrifying Mojo would bump this tune, with some Kraftwerk, and Module 500..those were the days!
I graduated high school in 1986 so you can figure my age out. I live in Toledo and I remember when Mojo use to come on 107.5 I would have play record pause ready to be release and would make them messed up tapes. I would hate when mojo would start talking a over a song that I was recording. lol
I remember: When I first heard this I was about 12 living in Fillmore - S.F. This white kid(wigger) cam back from a summer in New York and popped this shit in a boom box. S.F. kids did robot dancing and popping and locking. The kid started mixing our styles with breaking and that was the first time I saw a sideways moon walk. My ears, eyes and mind was blown. It was the beginning of a new culture.
A 1982 music. Thanks for uploading this. This music is so powerful, pure electro indie of he 80's. Well, in fact it was with this music that techno came to life, Atkins calling his own music "techno". Legendary.
the origional song of this sounds like shit, but just because of the rapper, he pronounces everything like some white nerdy guy with glasses, and randomly makes his voice go super high pitched at the start of stuff like a little girl. I dig this remix though
yeah remember this ish crazy pop lockin LOL!

I remember hearing "the Electrifying Mojo" play this...now that's old school. And he also recited these words as the track faded out...
"In my cosmic car/ I can travel very far
You can ride amongst the stars/ You don't have to be behind bars."
WORD.
