  • a couple questions..

Where do you get your facts from? I want to be able to find out information about what's going on but i don't know what sources to trust or where to even look.

and also... how is a revolution started? how could it actually be started in a way that it could change the government and hte country in a positive way? there seems to be so many roadblocks.

anyone is welcome to answer this. peace outt!!

  • America's opinions must be shouted!! Do you believe in Barak's Health care legislation?? Stop by my utube channel to check out just why Y0UR opinons matters !

  • so how do we go about starting a revolution?

  • lol, i hear that! how about buying an AK47 and marching to DC? ^^

  • Hey Davis, your elfin buddy, Kucinich, just bent over for Obama. How do you like em now?

  • After digging around a little bit on the NHS web site I found England's so-called free services of basic health care for all is also publicly funded. So, I was right. These two countries do not have free health care. Are you prepared to apologize for saying I am ignorant and stupid?

I also found proof that France's health care is publicly funded and is in a failing state.

  • USA = 37th worst care, 2nd highest price!

  • So if Fox has been demonizing the devil from day one that would mean all the other "news" organizations have pink eye from the ass slathering they've been doing?

  • Way to use that propaganda.

Any original idea in your head?

The ONLY thing "Well OILED" in this country is the misinformation machine that allows ONE PARTY to F---k up the country for 8 years... and then blame the next guy .... THEN set up to RE_ELECT the SAME policies that F----D up the country for 8 YEARS!

  • @HopeForPeaceNow

Apparently there was enough originality to get you to write about it.

  • @HopeForPeaceNow

Let us put this blame game in perspective. The Republicans fucked up for 8 years. It is therefore peachy keen for the Democrats to follow their lead by fucking up four times worse than their predecessors? Yeah I can see how that makes sense to people like you.

  • tea party terrorists. wtf.

  • Thanks, I agree totally.

  • Well said. Right on target.

  • Our Government is now completely illegitimate. Why did we invade Iraq??? Anyone??? It was because they no longer wanted to use the US Dollar as the currency for Trade. Why are we Sabre Rattling against Iran??? They too no longer want to use the US Dollar!!! China and Russia are too large and powerful to fight. They too believe the USD has seen its last days.

  • What the heck are you talking about?

  • What is the currency that nations must use for commerce with each other??? What happens to that currency when countries like China, Russia, Iraq and Iran decide not to use that currency??? If demand for that currency wanes then the value of that currency diminishes, does it not?

  • But there is no global currency, and if there was it wouldn't be the dollar it would be the euro. And what would make you suspect that currency is losing its value? Were in a recession, that's what happens. Give it a few years and the dollar will be as strong as ever.

  • The US Dollar has nothing substantial backing it. What I mean by that is the US does not have a sufficient GDP to Debt ratio to guarantee returns on T Bill Investments. Other Nations did use the USD as a safe Haven in the form of T Bills. When the Government's balance sheet gets clobbered by huge debt and trade deficits, other nations call into question the viability of that Nations Currency.

  • The currency of trade is the US Dollar... For now. So in essence you can consider it to be the Global Currency. Why??? During better times, retailers in other nations (poorer ones) took the US Dollar as payment. There was sometimes no need to go to money changers to trade in Dollars for whatever currency those countrymen transacted with.

  • There you go. American Supremacy is Predicated on a small piece of illegitimate Government Paper. Illegitimate simply because the US Constitution says that the Money of the United States will be Gold and Silver and not some pieces of paper that really have no backing. Note the words "Legal Tender".

  • Life is cheaper and better under the democrats healthcare reform will make life so much cheaper and them pulling troops out of iraq and afghan will lower taxes too. life is cheaper under the democrats.

  • yh sure. your right. the democrats are better than the Republicans but not good enough. people need to fundimentaly change the way society works. MUCH heavier control on individual income. Not taking away anyone's freedom. Actualy spreding the wealth more evenly gives most people more freedom.

  • @JBBlitz I think by cheaper, you mean devalued. Human life becomes a mere commodity who's value can be decided by a panel of unelected bureaucrats. Welcome to the brave new world.

  • YES PEOPLE! REVOLT! Why do England, Canada and France all get free health care? HMM? Well Because the gov't is more afraid of the people! They realize that if the money machine isn't working, they will go broke. They will not have security, money or anything else! We, as a country, have never revolted against our own country, since 1783 that is! We have revolted against states, other countries, and our own state gov't! But never the white house! Tell the district of columbia what YOU want! RISE!

  • You're a dufus. Those countries do not have "free" health care. If you want to raise an army to rise up against other Americans and the American government then be prepared to be executed for treason when it is all over.

  • @AllFractUp, Oh man... this should be fun. England does in fact have health care that does not cost a penny. As well as France. Second of all. I said nothing about physical violence. All I ever have been speaking of, is a petition or protest. So that is not treason. You, my friend, are the only one who should be charged with something... ignorance and stupidity. Thank you for making me look even better.

  • I took it upon myself to look up how France covers its medical expenses. Using the following google search "who pays for health care in France" I then followed it with this variant for England "who pays for health care in England". For the first search I chose the first entry from business week.

It shows that France is a combination of mandated coverage from the private sector and taxes through the government as a type of medicare for all model. It goes on to show a failing system.

  • @AllFractUp, I never said that it was the best plan. I just stated that the civillians had to pay no first-hand, out-of-pocket fees. What I am saying is that it's... "Free". Nothing in life is EVER 100% free! But you must admit... it is cheaper than our system. We as Americans, MUST show congress what we want! You are obviously an intellectual person, who loves their freedom of speech! So you, better than most people, should understand what I'm trying to say!

  • @skeeterbeanz09

Not true for either country. Both take your "first hand" money right out of your paychecks by means of mandatory taxes. then if you need something more than basic health guidance (checkups, physicals, that sort of thing) you pay a second time to cover the fees from specialists.

Canada has the same problem. To model our health care system under some socialist country's is simply going to fail. We're too independent to put up with Obama's unconstitutional single-payer crap

  • @skeeterbeanz09

I was not putting words in your mouth about their health system being superior. You said it is free. According to entries 9 and 11 of the online dictionary free in this context means:

exempt or released from something specified that controls, restrains, burdens, etc. (usually fol. by from or of): free from worry; free of taxes.

provided without, or not subject to, a charge or payment: free parking; a free sample.

Absolutely free was not part of your comment.

  • @skeeterbeanz09

In your revolutionary call to rise against the White House you did not expressly state whether you endorsed the use of violence, nor did you state you were speaking about a petition. But physical violence alone is not the only way to conduct or be convicted of treason.

  • @AllFractUp, you can take my comment however you want. But, the person who commits true treason, is the person who doesn't practice patriotism or is too lazy to support his or her own country. Take it how you want it... but look inside yourself, before you criticize someone elde.

  • Is there any place that I can read the bill?

  • One thing this country needs far less of is quixotic radicals determined to start the great revolution. It's not nearly as glamorous or feasible an idea as left-wing and right-wing radicals seem to think it is.

To parody Glenn Beck, we need less talk to revolution and more talk of evolution. Big change does not occur overnight. It takes gradual changes.

  • Don't you think that was exactly what conservatives said to Thomas Jefferson and George Washington when the British Empire still occupied North America.

''Yeah we should wait it out and just ask the Crown nicely to let us have our independence. they will eventually change their mind right?....'' Gradual change is ok for small things but once in a while only popular revolution changes things.

  • It may very well have been what people thought was best in the 1770s but what does that have to do w/ today?

Many people thought we should go to war w/ Germany in 1941. So does that mean we should go to war w/ Germany in 2010? I guess by your logic the answer is yes because whatever actions were right for the country in the past must be right for the country now even if there's no justification for taking those actions in the present other than political extremists on both sides want it

  • The breaking point is going from having medical to not having it. And having to apply for medical. If one wants medical from Kaiser for one person, they have to pay $380.00 a month and if one has a family it is even triple that. You can't tell me we do not need a reform. The Republicans want to get paid off or find a way they are going to benefit from this entire ordeal. What a shame and a sham.

  • davis... a core or fundamental "plan" or frame work to "revolt" is needed to enact to have a revolution... with that said, - if you can reach and evocatively insight the use of tens of millions of idol hands and give a them this "skeletal frame work to begin" from, then... and only then? will the "change", "we" , "you", and "me" seek come about?

  • The repubs and the Democrats are one in the same, in the back rooms they laugh at the people. As far as I can see there are 2, yes only 2 people that actually care about the great people of the USA and they are Dennis Kucynich and Ron Paul. All the others are securely in the pockets of big business including Obama.

  • exactly all it is a flip of the coin. The coin itself never changes only the face that looks up at you after the toss does

  • Excellent.

  • So we should have a revolution wherein we proclaim our right to force others to do health care unto us until we are well?

I guess I still don't get your concept of rights except in that they seem the same as the previous state-slavery systems of the past.

  • This is kind of what I feared after the clouds of euphoria cleared on election night.

  • This guy is such a dingbat. Listen, before Obama started this whole "health care reform" nightmare, 85% of Americans had health insurance and 95% of them were happy with it. There was never any mandate to remake national health care. This is all an Obama/Pelosi/Leftwing power grab. But on a deeper level this guy loves to talk about how the government is disfunctional but at the same time he wants to turn over his health care to that disfunctional government. This guy is a laughable idiot.

  • Today, on my half hour drive home from work I heard 2 references from different programs to Congresswoman Slaughter. She has proposed that Congress side step the Constitution to get that piece of shit Obama Care Bill passed. Congress is actually entertaining the idea. They have all lost their minds. They are so sold out. Our Republic has actually been hijacked by corrupt bankers, corporate leaders, and politicians.

  • secede

  • Private sector health insurance companies are not incentavised to provide health care.

  • Amazing vid! Absolutely jaw dropping how so many people don't get it!

  • Viva la Revolution brother!!! The governent is too broken to be fixed...time to "elect new guards". It stopped being "of the people, by the people and FOR the people a long time ago...

  • Twelve billion is such a phuckingly monstrous number!!!

My salary for taking 24 hr 7 day a week, care of my critically ill 39 yr. old daughter, and trying to be father to her imature 16 year old son? That grandson that of course I adore more than life!

My salary is $846 a month, subtract health & dental fees, inspite of the fact my chest hurts daily 'no comment', and my teeth keep hitting my knees & look like crap!

Thanks for all you do, Mr. Fleetwood ... to make me think. Blessings

  • My breaking point? ... when Dennis Kucinich gives up.

  • Revolution? For what? Government run healthcare? Is it gonna cost more in taxes then the $150 a month I spend on my private plan? Because if it does then you can take socialist propaganda and shove that $hit.

  • it's time for revoultion, or like the Ramons song I Wanna Be Saddated. I mean for real, why are the DEM'S so up in arms ???

  • molotovs on me folks.

  • Time for a revolution or time for people to go to Washington to let their voices heard and faces seen?

I won't be a bit surprised if people don't start protesting more and more in the near future. I just hope the MSM will have the decency to cover them.

Sure seems to me that the majority of Americans that I have spoken with are against this Bill because they don't really know what is in it and don't trust most politicians.

Time to speak out people and be heard!

  • if they pass health care we stop traffic..

  • There is a difference when it comes to Greens, they haven't been bought yet and electing them or any other third party will be a much larger change than switching between the two big ones,

What really needs to happen is a majority of the public needs to start taking the time to pay attention and vote without this apathy bullshit that nothing will ever change.

The power is in everyone's hands in a democracy except those who don't vote or are victim's of misinformation.

  • How can progressive liberals say this bill will lower the deficit. Name one government program that is not in a deficit, save your breathe because you can't! Look up the CBO track record on predictions, because they've been wrong more times than right. You have a choice not to give your money to the greedy insurance companies, but under this bill, you will have no choice but to give more of your money to the big fat bloated federal government!

Liberalism = Failure! oBAMA is a liar and a thief!

  • @demonpreyer.. name one that is not a deficity..

Fannie Mae was one, until Banking Deregulation.

We spend 17% GDP and are taxed everyday as a society in everything we do.

FYI: I write software a lawyer on a program to compute case value on intake.

    Formula:

    (Current + Future Med Costs) * 3 + infaltion = Value.

Punitive is a factor of Med costs and Culpability.

Imagine if Med Cost were 0. TORT reform instantly. No more Friv/Fraud lawsuits. No incentive for them.

  • Kill your tv and live off grid. I wish we could get out of this damn apartment.

Want to go to 'war' with the corporations? Hack their bank accounts and give the money to charity.

  • Here is a way out there observation, almost rebellious.

Give a Multi-Millionaire 1 Million, he will place most in savings he has everything already.

A not so rich person receives 1 Million, he buys New Home, Yacht, Furniture, Cars, spends jubilently at Restaraunts and clothing and night clubs.

So option 1 generates no stimulus. Option 2 generates massive stimulus.

Imagine if revolution started and Multi-Millionaires started dying, their money would stimulate the economy.

    Crazy Huh

  • @lewislwood

    Soooooo....we should start killing Mutli-Millionaires.

Strangely enough, this idea doesn't fill me with dread the way it probably ought to.

  • @LordCustos3.. idea does not fill me with dread..

Me either. If Wealthy were scared that what happpened in London to the Lords there, they would give a little to placad the masses (laws and such).

Also fear means more security jobs, and better pay for staff and housekeepers there (gotta trust them). An all around boom for the economy.

Makes me laugh and it shouldn't.

I herd on NPR this morning people in Greece do not care if Greece collapses, after all they have nothing.

  • The powerful never give up their power voluntarily.

  • what an idiot

  • What about the guy who throws around labels like "idiot" without so much as an argument?

  • yeah 5 stars people need to be educated that between elections its money that rules the roost not The People

  • lol at butthurt libtards whining about fox news and listing logical fallacies as talking points

  • Like, OMG, are you twelve!?

  • another good one, Davis, thanks.....and it IS time for the people in this country to revolt against the billionaires, and the powerful 1%, and almost all in Congress: throw the bums out! let Kucinich design the healthcare plan!!

  • When you say we need a revolution, what do you mean exactly?

  • I was hoping the dems would have more of a backbone this time around but yet again I was proven wrong.

  • Amer-I-CAN used to mean greatness.

the whole world IS watching, waiting to see a great nation's people arise.

    great vid, D!

  • Is grhc going to increase the national debt? FACT:Yes.

Is grhc going to take away your freedom to choose? FACT:Yes.

Is grhc going to make you pay whether you want it or not? FACT:Yes.

Is grhc going to be a watered down version of what we have now? FACT:Yes.

Is grhc going to make you pay for someone else's abortion whether you like it or not? FACT:Yes.

Is grhc going to force children to take flu shots whether the parents like it or not? FACT:Yes.

    FACT: Progressive liberalism = Failure

  • You appear to be a moron so let start your education.

The debate over grhc is over.

There is not and will never be any grhc.

Its been dead for more than a year.

Fox's butt buddies are just beating a dead horse in this regard, simply using it as a scare tactic for the easily scared. (see for reference: You).

Now lets priceed to destroy your points of arguement shall we?

  • 1: The public option was calculated to be deficit positive not negative (government approved finding)

    2. While true in essence, they make you buy PRIVATE health insurance.

    3. True, enjoy your premium increases.

    4. you don't have a VERSION to begin with unless you count medicade and medicare. you can't water down whats not there. plus both the medi programs have been working a surplus for decades.

  • 5. This isn't your choice, neither are the roads, the schools and the guns that are built with your tax money

    6. Same point as above, and if you enjoy influenza, which has a very nice body count each year, go without.

  • Is government run health care going to raise your taxes? FACT:Yes.

Is grhc going to create more jobs? FACT:No.

Is grhc going to make you more healthy? FACT:No.

Is grhc going to create more health care rationing? FACT:Yes.

Is grhc going to create doctor and nurse shortages? FACT:Yes.

Is grhc going to be the same "Top Notch" health care that congress gets? FACT:No.

Is grhc going to save more lives? FACT:No.

Is grhc going to cost more than what you're paying the insurance companies now? FACT:Yes.

  • 1. Tax's only go up because you idiots let congress give all to most wealthy people in america enormous tax cuts who's income has increase 500% in the last 15 years.

    2. this program doesn't affect jobs at all because its about how you pay for health care, not the healthcare itself, thats a misconception that fox and butt buddies keep pushing.

    3. see above.

    4. Rationing is already happening and being done by PRIVATE insurance companies for decades. Its more profitable for them to do it that way.

  • @TheCrimsonLion, 1. Health care is not a right, it's a privilege! 2. You can have the best health care in the world and still die! 3. In America, you can still get the best health care in the world without health insurance. 4. Making true hard working Americans, pay for your health care because of your lazy ass welfare mentality, is not something to brag about! 5. If you're to lazy to better yourself and pay for your own health care, that's on you, not me! 6. No one owes you a damn thing!

  • @demonpreyer Why is being healthy a privilege? Why is being independent & not beholden to an employer or insurance company for health care a privilege? A country as wealthy as ours should look out for those who get screwed - by accidents, disease etc. Not all of us who want health care are on welfare and you sound like a selfish, self righteous jerk. Grow some empathy and evolve please.

  • 1. Rights are fluid and government given. You also ahd the right to habious corpus but thats gone. rights change.

    2. Death is inevitable but none of these programs are aimed at the "quality" of healthcare, just the cost.

    3. You can pay, sure, IF YOU HAVE INSANE AMOUNTS OF CASH ON HAND.

    4. You have no choice what your tax dollars do anyway. you never have.

    5. Being too lazy is a none issue as this years increases in premiums alone are enough to make insurance unaffordable.

  • 5. shortages? The bill is about payment not product. Another scare tactic.

    6. Congress men ARE BOUGHT. very easy to get health benefits when insurance lobbyist write up your own health plan

    7. Payment not product.

  • 8. Stupidist comment ever. a government program (which doesn't and won't ever exist) doesn't need to pay for advertising, bonuses, lobbist and corporate expenditure. while private premiums increase double digits each year, a government run program only has to cover its overhead and increase based on inflation.

  • another great video. the democrats are part of the problem. the poor u.s of a. is going down the toilet unfortunately.....

  • The Democratic party is spineless? I can disagree with that my friend. As for Obama Care, if we do not pass this now, we will not have a chance to do so again in the future for a long time. Our country is about the people, as it is stated in the Constitution, is it now? We need this Care, I'm not loosing my grandmother to cancer because we can't afford it and large corporate industries are whining about their income. Screw the companies. Bush put us in this shit, Obama can take us out of it.

  • Bush didn't puts us where we are now and Obama is not going to give healthcare. Don't you get it, what the state provides for us is the capitalist's kickback... And they fight damn hard not to give us shit. We need not revolutionize the government but change the system in which it operates, because the profit of money out weighs the humanistic value of life. Sorry to hear about your grandmother, but we must fight for a real change not Obamacare.

  • Now that is something I could agree with, I suppose. Thanks for putting an educated comment, most would just reply with comments that made themselves idiotic. The way I ultimately see it though, is that Obama has about 6 months to do something, or else I'm afraid he'll be gone. I had trust in him, and I still do, but the Country is so messed up right now, it's crazy. Thanks for your sympathy for my grandmother.

  • Welcome to America, home of fascism, corporatism, global terrorism, and strategic social anarchy. Please equip the blinders provided , and enjoy the show. Today we've picked out a special piece of propaganda film for you good little Americans! Don't forget to visit the gift shop on your way out.

Seriously though, we need to change shit while we still can. While this country is still savable.

  • thats right, the days of the political system are counted. checkout the Zeitgeist Adendum video. Its kinda the way the new energies are getting aligned to.

  • Rev--OLUTION could be the So--LUTION. Greedy blood sucking Bast**ds on WALL Street and CAPITAL Hill etc. etc. need to EFFin GOOOOOO

  • 2nd outstanding post in a row!!

    Kudos!

    On a winning streak...?

  • Wow, at 3:21 I saw that your tonsils are missing. ouch!

  • dont have fucking kids, please

  • AMA and ANA (DOCTORS & NURSES) support the Bill.

4Profit Insurance companies are against the Bill.

Why would Doctors support a Bill that taxes them, > $200,000? They have seen enough abuse by the Insurance Companies against their patients: deny treatments, changing drug formulary, drop coverage, preexisting condition exclusion, & Medicare drug GAP for Senior. Dont ever get sick or in an accident, you will be bankrupted & screwed by Insurance.

I will go with AMA on Health Care Reform.

  • What!? They are many other Nurses and Doctors against this bill, such as the nurse association of California... Don't you get it that money dictates this country and who has the most money? Big insurance, big pharm, big med tech... They're moving their weight around to guts this bill away from anything that would make this country more egalitarian. Mark my words, this is the worst garbage to be present as change. If we want change we need to stop resting on the shoulders of capital.

  • Capitalism is great!

we should give it a try in the USA instead of just pretending corporatism is the same thing!

  • Couldn't have said it better...

  • two awesome books that everyone commenting here should read:

The New American Revolution, eds Roderick Aya and Norman Miller

    AND

The Roots of the Modern American Empire: A Study of the Growth and Shaping of Social Consciousness in a Marketplace Society, by William Appleman Williams

monumental, delicious, raw facts and rationality

  • I'd like to ad:

"The Globalization of Poverty and The New World Order" by Michel Chossudovsky

  • National I.D. card.

  • Democratic congress and the administration is already in "melt down" mode. Look at the approval numbers. As Obama continues his propaganda tour, the bill slows down more and more like a constipated rhino. The resistance is having an impact, revolution brews.

  • are you issuing weapons and providing training?

  • Kucinich has it right. So do you. The revolution I see, at least initially, is to completely BREAK the system that has allowed incumbents to get this corrupt in the first place. BREAK the association between campaigns, campaign money, campaign ads, and re-election. Render the lobbyist money USELESS.

  • You look tired and stressed as hell. Take care of yourself my friend.

  • You're right Kenko, voting Green would be stupid we should continue to vote for Dems and Repubs and hope that they change instead of sending a real message that we aren't going to take it anymore. That was sarcasm in case you didn't realize. Once politicians realize the only way to get into power is to do what is good for the majority of the people we may start to get real change.

Otherwise the choice will always be between Coke and Pepsi, which is no choice at all.

  • America won't have the revolution it needs because it's paralyzed by democracy which brings about the false sense that civilians are in charge of their government, that they have a say in their leaders. But the capitalism has the country by the short-n-curlies, puppeteering this Culture War by polluting the media and the minds of lesser-educated, wripping any civilian cohesion at the seam.

'Government too large' cry republicans? pfft.

I watch from the north and see no government at all.

  • What kind of revolution?

  • I have an Idea, Fuck lase fair, cap the amount a health care company can charge and make minimum on coverage. Then after we slowly bleed the privet health care systems dry offer our own. Or tax them 2x the amount they would change for the ability to go over the cap I spoke of above.

For fucks sake I'm 18 and came up with something more effective in 3 minutes than what we have going for us.

Well at least I know to join the military and invest in health care today...

  • "can you pass tha muthafukin grey puopon"

    epic winzorz.

  • We need a new word, Revolution lost its importance when the establishment used it as a common place change. Thus lowering its power, its sacred stance.

  • Since we the peep seem to run in parties, we each need to join any damn party other than the 2 majors & change things.

  • VOTE GREEN! Its that simple. All these arguments have been going around for over 10 years. That's why the Greens exists. It is an international movement. It is for humanity and common decency. Just vote Green.

  • Greens are just another capitalist party. If they were to get into power, they would just move to the right like all the reformist/social-democratic parties in Europe have done in response to the economic crisis.

  • Greens, no matter what nonsense you can claim against them, will change things if they were in power, it won't be an overnight and complete change into a utopia but it will be far better than giving the current 2 versions of the same party the ability to do whatever they want without consequence.

  • @KidOmniMan

The changes we need are fundamental in character, not tactical. All the Greens promise to do is manage the capitalist/imperialist system in a different style than the other two parties, but the system stays in place. The reformist tactics of the Greens won't bring us to socialism, and it's socialism that we need. Working class revolution from below is the only solution.

  • I agree socialism is what we need, but let's take it one step at a time so things don't get violent.

For the US to become socialist in the sense of having a planned economy the government would need to take possession of everything that produces(factories, most private industries, etc.) and with the amount of money in the hands of the rich at this point it would be a brutal fight, unless somehow magically %95 of Americans suddenly agreed on it which is not realistic.

  • Otherwise it would involve a civil war in which the poor would lose. There are many more poor than rich but all the weapons and money to fund a war are in the hands of the rich and with so many so staunchly opposed to socialism there would be no lack of soldiers to fight against the socialist uprising.

You can't win chess by playing checkers, even though I really really wish you could.

Foreign interests with money invested in the US would also do what they could to stop it by any means.

  • Just look at the Spanish civil war and what happened there, it was a revolution but because the communist party was supported by foreign interests with money invested in Spain the communist party had all the weapons and money and were able to keep Spain Capitalist to stop the redistribution of wealth that would have otherwise taken place.

Homage to Catalonia is George Orwell's account of the Spanish civil war, which he fought in, and explains it very well.

  • Yeah, Socialism is what we need. You're a 24 year old fucking moron. You know NOTHING. Grow up. Go bust your ass for 10 years and have a few kids...then you'll have a concept about what the real world is all about. Moron.

  • Isn't Fleetwood in his thirties, I think so... maybe he'll be the next Zack Galfanakios(?)

doesn't matter fact is maybe you shouldn't have knocked the bitch up. Moron.

  • Yeah, it seems to have worked out really well for you, you don't seem like a bitter cunt at all.

Make a counter-argument like an adult, age has very little to do with it.

  • @Donnybrook10 Yeah! The real world is about having a few kids and living ten years longer! I'm afraid cuz Glenn Beck tells me to be!... If we lived in a totalitarian communist nation, people like you would be thrown in work camps, dumbass. So go screaming in that direction if you want to... but the people ROBBING YOU BLIND are in the opposite direction. And while Obama bows to his corporate overlords, you've been pointed to war in the wrong direction by mouthpieces of the SAME FUCKING PEOPLE!

  • So fucking true... The only difference between capitalism and state communism is in capitalists you work for a private boss, in State communism, your boss is now the state... Like WTF, why can't we live alienation free?

  • so my question is, what's the modern format for revolution going to be? and will anything less than a national catastrophe be sufficient to motivate the laziest populace in history to commit?

  • Americans have been bent over taking it dry for more than 60 years. I don't think there's a spine left.

  • "Davis" you should read Michael Hardt. he's a modern philosopher that has been exploring the notion and possibility of revolution. he says that unless some catastrohpic event pushes us, no substantial group of modern americans is about to form an armed cell in the mountains and start a "revolution," because even the radical left has abandoned the notion of revolution as a viable option for change. the left has resorted to passive efforts of resistance in order to be taken seriously.

  • Democrat, Republican...Just two broken wings of the same bird!!!

  • Breaking Point:

regular middle class living in favelas. We're getting there, if we're not careful. This administration isn't helping.

Um, dems aren't spineless, they're crooks!... of a another color... still smell bad.

don't blame me, I voted for Sharpton (it's my new mantra)...

  • March on Washington.

Saturday, March 20th, 2010 Washington DC

Be there! It may be your last chance to bring the regime to its knees and bring about change.

  • How about America chooses a different party for once, maybe one that aren't complete corporate pawns. But, then again 9/10 people that are elected are the ones who spent the most money. Money = Attention... America = Corporatocracy.

  • [insert health insurance ad here]

  • 1988 was the last time I voted for a democrat or a republican. People tell me I'm wasting my vote. No, if you vote for a democrat or republican, you're wasting your vote...

  • Davis- start picking off lobbyists, and corporation big-wigs. Scare the crap out of the rest. Things will change, but revolutions take your blood...and theirs.

  • both parties are the property of corporations, democrats are just a little more subtle about doing business.

  • PUBLIC OPTION NOW!

UHC CEO Stephen Hemsley has $745 MILLION in stock options. 2007 pay $13.2mil; 2008 $3.2mil.

CIGNA CEO Edward Hanway made $120mil in last 5yrs. Stock options = $28mil.

Humana CEO Michael McCallister made $10.3mil in 07. $1,017,308 in 08. Stock options = $60mil.

LARGEST GOLDEN PARACHUTE in history of corporate America goes to William McGuire of UnitedHealth 1.4 BILLION DOLLARS!

How many DENIED lifesaving treatments does that take? BLOOD MONEY!

    Viva Obama!

  • I'll only support a socialist revolution, Davis. Anything else would be a catastrophic waste of energy.

  • @Congest Yeah, I hear you. If there is a Revolution, I'd want it be to be on pretty good terms, since there are a LOT of people talking about revolution, and not exactly on the same side. The uh... "other" guys talking about revolution, I'm not crazy about what their "goals" are, or their very reason for revolt to begin with.

  • What's a revolution??? Walk outs, protests, occupations. It works, it's the only thing that ever has. Move your money out of large banks, into community banks and local credit unions. Turn the tv off, stop shopping at wal-mart and other giant heartless corps. Support mom and pop shops, grow your own food, re-use, barter, so on and so on. Utilize your power or are you so beat down you actually think you don't have any. Get a spine. Thanks Davis, I'm right there with you man.

  • "The oppressed are allowed once every few years to decide which particular representatives of the oppressing class are to represent and repress them."

    ~ Karl Marx

  • Why don't you stop wishing and hoping and begging that this violent, coercive institution known as the US government actually gives a damn about you? Why don't you STOP SUPPORTING IT! You know, like with your taxes?

You complain about how bad the government is, but still think that the government is this wonderful institution that, if only the right people were in charge, then things would be different. No, it wont, because you have no choice, because you are FORCED to financially support it.

  • "You complain about how bad the government is, but still think that the government is this wonderful institution that"

The government can be a "wonderful institution" with the right people in place. The government can protect the people it represents, but unfortunately that is not the case. Corrupted people running the government does not mean that the concept of a government is wrong in itself, perhaps the thing needs some tweaking, rather than this party/group election rubbish we get.

  • Yes, and the mafia might be able to actually offer you protection, if only another godfather was put in place.

The street gangs down the street terrorize the neighborhood now, but if we only had a new gang leader, everything would be better.

Don't you get it? YES IT IS the very concept of government that is the problem. They use VIOLENCE and THREATS to fund itself. This arrangement is INHERENTLY immoral and there is NO WAY to fix it. It MUST be abandoned.

  • You want to abandon the very concept of government?

So, everything would be ungoverned and lawless. Some people would force their will on others through violence, because that's what humans do. Whoever was able to monopolize the violence in a given area would become the government, by default.

For people to live together in a society, we need laws and people to enforce those laws. You'll never be rid of the concept of government.

  • @grimthane

'Some people would force their will on others through violence"

    Like a government?

So your excuse for SUPPORTING the initiation of violence is that other people support the initiation of violence? Just because other people are violent doesn't mean that you have to be. Also, there is nothing wrong with some of the SERVICES that governments provide (police, roads, etc...). The problem is when you are FORCED to pay for those services under threat of VIOLENCE.

  • Violence can be used for DEFENSE, yes. However, justifying violence to be used to PROTECT you and your property doesn't justify using violence to ATTACK others and acquire property.

    "who would provide those services?"

Most likely the same people that provide the services now. The biggest differences is that nobody would force you to pay for them, so if, for instance, they bombed some innocent people half way around the world, you could stop paying for that kind of "service" immediately.

  • @somecomputergeek

Let's see. You started out wanting to do away with the concept of government, and now, you're talking about a government that doesn't use force offensively and has optional taxes. That's a lot of ground you've covered.

As for optional taxes, that idea is completely impractical in any real world scenario. People wouldn't want to pay for anything. The government wouldn't be able to provide even the most basic services.

  • @grimthane

I understand your criticism. I am against a "state", which is a group of people that use violence and the threat of violence to control the rest of society. If you had a "government" that did not have these attributes, it would not be a state, and I may not be opposed to it.

I agree with you that there ARE some things that people simply wouldn't be willing to pay for if force wasn't used. The "war on drugs", for instance, but some things people WOULD voluntarily pay for.

  • @somecomputergeek This isnt about the state using threats or violence to enforce its will. This is about wanting a government thats open, honest and constitutional. So stop trying to tell us your philosophical bullshit in order to steer us away from the subject of the vid You over educated arm chair bureaucratic spineless book worm.

  • @ostormbringero

I'm sorry you have such a hatred for education and books, but if you think I'm "bureaucratic", you simply haven't been following the conversation, which, by the way, is completely relevant to a video about revolution, a corrupt government that blatently lies to you, what the breaking point is for all of us, and what we can do about it. I simply offered a solution - stop financially supporting a government that lies to you, no matter how attractive the latest lies are.

  • @somecomputergeek Typical response. No sir I love education but not indoctrination. You seem to be talking with two faces one claims you hate government and its encroachment on our civil liberties..The other tells us that you can stop it by some how not giving money to them. If you knew anything of the fiat currency system youde know all that would do is increase inflation. No the heart of the matter is to take out the federal reserve and everything else will fall into place.

  • @ostormbringero

In your comment, you "insulted" me by accusing me of being educated and reading books.

I actually agree with you about the FED. The reason, however, fiat currency "works" is because of taxation. A tax revolt would force the FED to collapse and allow for competing currencies, and catalyze existing movements. These institutions have always been an obstacle to progress masquerading as progress itself. I say "good riddance".

  • @somecomputergeek no sir what money they dont collect they just make more of it thats why we are in debt. So in short they can rob us without even touching our pockets

  • @ostormbringero

Fiat money (money that is not backed by a commodity) only has value because of people accepting it, and people will only accept it if it has value. At some point, it has to get it's value from somewhere, and that "somewhere" is the government accepting it as payment of taxes.

For fiat currency to work, it has to have a supply system (FED) and a drainage system (Tax). The flow of money keeps the system running. Stop paying taxes and the system comes to a crashing halt.

  • @somecomputergeek First of all that is not the definition of fiat currency ...fiat currency equals debt you cant have one without the other its a system where you cant pay off the debt cuz theyde be no currency if you did so if we did as u suggested it would simply increase the power of the U.S central bank.Commodity based currency (Im assuming u mean money backed up by silver or gold) is not a good replacement becuz the price of gold and to some extent silver can be manipulated.

  • @ostormbringero

You're right, debt is the vehicle for the supply of money, and taxes are used to pay off the debt. The taxpayer is basically the collateral on the debt. Without the promise of future taxes, the debt can't be created. Fiat currency is completely dependent on taxation.

We need to remove FORCE from the equation. Right now, you pay off the debt from the FED because you will be imprisoned if you don't. That's why they can get away with what they do.

  • @somecomputergeek there is a better way

  • @ostormbringero

Better than basing currency on silver and gold? I agree. I think we should have gold and silver-backed currencies, but I don't see why we would want to limit currency markets to just sil
