Malayalam grew out of pure tamil and retains it about 70 percent approx., with the rest sanskrit, so a singer can spot the similarity in words as he/she listens carefully to the lyrics, it becomes a natural extension from Malayalam to Tamil and vice versa. If you listen to Sri Lankan Tamils speak, you will notice that they speak Tamil with Malayalam intonations...

savinusa i not agree your comment.You should understand that this live performance.....Mr. Jayachandran also point it out some mistake that roopa did, but he said this is live performance, after that Janaki amma she justice he the song.............

This is my favourite song ..it was a great attempt from Roopa ..however there were many problems .. i m disappointed with the judges who always praise Roopa rather than correct her mistakes .. Stephen did a gud job ..
