  • I pack my Cougar wherever I go and it has been put through a lot of use. It still shoots every time. Being a NATO qualified pistol with a service life of 25,000 rounds or more, I'm hardly surprised. It's an excellent little weapon IMO.

  • The Cougar is actually a Beretta product manufactured by Stoeger which is a wholly owned Beretta subsidiary in Turkey. It is a great gun with quality and reliability as good as any other Beretta product. You can't go wrong with this gun, Thanks for posting this review!.

  • you are mistaken baretta didn't sell stoeger rights to the cougar they own stoeger those hand guns are made with the very same machines ans material they sent the tooling to turkey to reduce the price

  • thanks guys for all the informed comments about this gun

  • Stoeger is owned by beretta. They shipped the stuff used to manufacture the beretta cougar to turkey and started makong them there due to how much cheaper it made it to manufacture. So technicallly u are getting a rebadged beretta cougar just made in turkey instead of italy

  • The Cougar is not an all-steel pistol. The frame is aluminum alloy. This is not to say they are a poor quality weapon as they have a real quality "feel" to them and shoot fine.

  • Yeah i really want night sights, I read some horror stories about having gunsmiths putting the night sights on.

  • Trijicon does make night sights for it. just need to take it to a gunsmith to have them installed.

  • I love my cougar, I picked up some wood grips from hogue for mine, looks sweet. They're made in Turkey though, not the US. Their US HQ is in the same place as Beretta, Akkoka Creek MD, but the gun is made in turkey on Beretta machinery. Bought mine from Academy sports, $399, came with 4 mags.

  • Thanks

  • You mad a good choce I have the same gun all steel guns r way better then plastic guns steel last longer and can take abuse better then the plastic good gun good vid
