he only has two losses, which both were avenged, i think that is domination to me...u have to realize with fitch, he has a tough head, some fighters do and some dont, he certantly does as look how many times GSP put him down, alves put him down and fitch has never been officially knocked out before...GSP is only 27 and seems to improve more each fight, GSP has already cleaned house and is still going strong...

The difference to me is his performance. Yes wins, and some domination, but not all the fights. I need to see more steller preformances from him. PPl are quick to say uber when some where ok. Think Chuck at top of his game. GSP vs Josh Kos, yes Josh is a great wresler but he still putting it together (MMA skills) a champ MMA figher would have made him swich his game then expliot. Watch for BJ following fights, or Silva they will use every chance to put them away. hope i made sence.

Anyone who can wrestle with or out wrestle hughes will beat him. GSP, KOS, Fitch, BJ(in shape) for sure would win and possibly diego. Thats not even counting like Alves who have already beat him. The UFC made Hughes by giving him bums to fight and kept him away from GSP after there first match. Notice how Trigg got a quick rematch against Hughes yet GSP destroyed Trigg like no other and the UFC wouldnt give him a rematch till many fights later. Hughes cant strike and is now being exploited.

as good as this match up is it would make a mockery of the sport, BJ lost his last 2 fights as a WW, he's only won 2 fights since then as a LW, so why are LW more entitled to the shot at the WW champ, then the WW contendors? no to mention both fighters haven't cleaned there division, and if BJ wins the WW title, then its gonna kill both divisions, seeing how a fighter can only fight so many times a year, and guys will have to waite maybe even a year before he gets his shot, horrible move for ufc

Let me straighten you out here. He has won his last THREE fights as a lightweight not 2, and it isnt that a lightweight is more entitled to a shot than a welterweight I agree, its that these guys already fought once and had a killer performance, and it was great for our sport.just like Silva went to 205, even if he wins the belt in that weight class, it doesnt mean the smaller contenders have to wait to challenge him, plus Georges is 1 fight away(Thiago alves) before cleaning out his division

agreed, as a BJ fan i dont belive he deserves a title shot at 170. As a super fight I have no problem.(for glory not a belt) But with BJ's record there are a number of fighters who deserve a shot before BJ.

there are a few fighters in the UFC that Dana White gets a woody over, and BJ Penn is one of them. BJ gets what he wants, and that is that.  Few people could get White to agree to this type of fight. To make it fair this should be a non-title fight, but also should be a 5 rounder (probably won't happen though). I think though, that if BJ wins, he will want a Matt Hughes fight, and then he will leave the UFC. Only way he fights again at lightweight is they bring Gomi in, or if Flo beats sherk??

how bout moving up to 185 with Anderson Silva. It was talked about that he already won belts in the 155, 170, and another goal was to fight in the 185 and try to win that to. who knows man BJ called out Wanderlei out one time. He is a true fighter.
