  • The problem with this is that you have to run Chrome with a shortcut every single time. Symlinks make much better sense to use.

  • @gumballtech And whats the problem? Dislike of command prompt batch files called shortcuts?

  • this is correct?: --user-data-dir="Y:\CACHEGOOGLECHROME"?

  • help, now work in xp.

  • ok, this is nice but how do you change the temp folder, where chrome puts the large files? i know it uses windows temp folder but i don't want to change that. what i want to do is have chrome put all it's temporary files on a ram disk.

  • But it only works for that shortcut, why doesn't Chrome have an option for it. When I click a link and Chrome is my default browser, I want it to use the cache on my Ram Disk.

Firefox accesses the SSD all the time even when the cache is on the RamDisk, Chrome is faster, but can't have the cache definitively on the RamDisk unless you ONLY start it by a certain shortcut.

Have yet to find a suitable browser for my netbook.

  • I choose the background music from YouTube AudioSwap library.

I can't remember the music title.
