Fireworks CS3 Tutorial: Animating 101!

hey anyone no how i can remove a "hand tool". i was doing something and some how end up with this "" hand tool"" , i cant select any other tool. i cant do any thing. this the smiler tool you see on tool box left side at very bottom. i be very appreciate if any one can tell what to do. thx

your video tutorials are really great, im learning how to do animations at the moment, i just have one problem... saving the files. when it comes up with the options .GIF isn't there :S. How else can i save them? :) X

you need to go to Export if you want it to be a gif. I think if you chose the Save option it will save it as an fireworks documnet:) ( sorry for my bad english )

Hey I made an animated GIF for my new youtube avatar, but it plays it at full speed -- there is no timing kept between the frames...what's up with that?

OK, sorry, I didn't finish watching the video before I posted that question. Now it's working properly since I exported it from the Image Preview box instead of just saving it as a GIF file.

YouTube converts every file to .jpg format. Probably to stop the use of animated .gifs

testimonials are such a low-ball way of selling a product...99% of the time the testimonials were written by the guy selling the product

use javascript for that part. Check out dhtml goodies for scrollers and tickers.

Do you mean you actually can't save it as a GIF file, or when you do save it then open it, the GIF isn't animated? To save as a GIF you simply select GIF from the drop down menu when you are saving it. Doesn't get much easier than that.

Why not use FLASH instead of fireworks. I am so confused here. Why wouldn't you just use FLASH cs3, instead of Fireworks?

Because fireworks has tools that Flash doesn't have, and it's a easier IMO.
