This is good that its not aired. This one episode has basically nothing to do with the book. Yes, Gaia is fearless, but no she is not a brunette, no she doesnt have brown eyes, no her partners are not those people, no she doesnt have Godparents, and no shes not an actualy agent shes supposed to simply be in training. The books are much better....

After looking up the books, I have to say Gaia's backstory (i.e. the books) is a lot more interesting than the story in this pilot. Judging from the dialogue in the pilot, it sounds like the writers were probably going to introduce more references to the books when the series got underway.

I like Rachel Leigh Cook..but I don't think this part fit her well! I think if maybe they had gotten a different actress to play the part and changed a little in the initial dialog explaining "Fearless" then it would have been picked up! Other than that I liked the pilot...too bad networks have sucky guys making bad decisions!

I doubt a dysfunctional endocrine system would that really render someone fearless. Even without the effects of adrenaline, a logical understanding of bad consequences make someone experience dread or at least a sense of "Hmm...don't want that to happen", leading to well, wise/cautious decision making. And even if someone was totally fearless, wouldn't that get them killed? Even more ridiculous? The notion of someone like Rachel Leigh Cook being a misfit. Not gonna happen.

It's too bad about the show because I really enjoyed the books when I was a kid. Plus, Eric Balfour and Ian Somerhalder on my tv together in 2004 would have been pretty great.

that doesn't even make sense. fight or flight is suppose to make you more alert and attentive to facilitate immediate physical reactions that prepare for violent muscular actions. like breathing more deeply so you get more oxygen into your lungs so you can run faster, your heart palpitates and circulates more bloods so you can run faster - real fear doesn't paralyse you, it energises you so you can do things you normally could not. thats how seemingly normal people are able to kill intruders.

Honestly the WB is such a fucking pain in the ass with shows, they air amazing shows and then kick you in the face and cancel them, and they only cancel things that would do amazing too. I always try not to get hooked on WB/CW shows because I'm afraid they'll cancel them, high ratings have never stopped them ether, just look at Young Americans.

Don't Let Me Get Me would have been a better theme song for this show if they'd given it a chance. It sucks that it didn't follow the books at all, but on it's own I thought it was great. I love Rachel Leigh Cook and I would have loved this show.

there were lots of books on Fearless. then the series continued with Fearless FBI. this was after her high school years, when she became and FBI agent. maybe this tv showed picked up on those later books of her being an adult and working for the FBI and just ignoring the high school thing.

So first of all they kind of jump right in the middle of the story, Boo!!! And I agree about the casting of Gaia. I like RLC as an actress but she like VorbenCage said doesn't look like Gaia, sound like her, and just doesn't have that feel. Whatever happend to the book model could she act? She just gave off that Gaia vibe.

I love the books and when I first heard there was going to be a series I was excited. When I heard who was cast to play Gaia I was glad that the series never aired. I don't like Rachel Lee Cook as an actress in the first place and she was a horrible choice for Gaia. Just thinking about how bad the series would have been makes me cringe. This is in no way disrespecting you for posting it. I just wanted to get my feelings out there since I've been a fan of the books since they first came out.

Sites like youtube can often veto Hollywood decisions by getting pilots out there. That can be a good thing. It's nice to have some choices beyond what Hollywood decides we should see.

Oh, this is bad. Really bad. Rachael LC is an awful actress. She is totally wrong for this. The overall feel of the show is cheap, cheesy and nothing at all like the books. If they wanted a true representation of Gaia - they should have gone for Ali Larter.
