CFL's aren't right for the house, they CERTAINLY ARE NOT "green" because they pose a health hazard when broken indoors. Some newer ones even catch fire/burn out prematurely.
@TheOriginalRootbrian I'm not alone! My CFL almost catch burn but it some smoky. It was horrible. I will not buy CFL anymore and I will not own CFL anymore!

CFL's are designed for 24/7 use.
No bulb can last long. LED's maybe.
