Ok, reality check time. It weighs 'just' 22 lbs. How many 75 year olds are going to be carrying a 22 lb object with them into the grocery store; or anywhere else for that matter?

Even if you were able to deal with the weight., you're going to drag this thing through the store with you, or up escalators or...? I'm thinking not. 'FUN" idea, not at all practical for the elderly, imho.

Not bad for a prototype. I'm waiting for better batteries for 30 km range and fast recharging, improved riding posture (including not having to hold on to the seat), and higher top speeds, say 25 km/h. Something like average bicycle speeds and ranges, but hands-free.

This one would also be interesting if made into to an office chair.
