I've had this for a long tiem now and it only ever found something when I first installed it to get rid of the viruses i had on my comp, currently every time I scan with it, it finds nothing, I only use spybot now for the immunize feature.

I love SpyBot S&D! It removes all spyware, such like FunWebProducts, which Kaspersky Internet Security didn't even notice as something dangerous which should be removed.

The interface of SpyBot is very simple, but it is very effective program. It scans computer very fast (about 12 minutes). It's really good spyware remover, better than Ad-Aware and Spyware Terminator.

Great Review... I use Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, SpyBot S&D, and Webroot's Anti-Spyware with AntiVirus, Webroot Free Firewall, and Webroot Windows Washer 6.5... They all are A+ in security.

Spybot Search and Destroy is an O.K. spyware/malware removing program, but in the "Immunization" it is horrid. I just had to apply a system restore to my PC about a minute ago after i decided to Immunize my PC. About 10 minutes into the Immunization process it asked me to allow 9356 changes to my registry/configurations, me being an idiot accepted... Trying to test out my "cleaner" PC I slugged my way onto CCS and youtube, but none would even load, stating the registry was corrupt and damaged..

What you refer to someone as isn't necessarily their name, it's just a title he's giving you, in this case it'd seem that it was an accurate one so I don't see why you have to base your comment on your complaint about him calling you "dude". On a lighter note, I'd be one to question why the application is named "Spybot search and destroy" if it supposedly can't even do anything to spyware, if what you say is true? The program itself claims to remove spyware, so I don't accept that as an excuse.

What I meant was that it's inability to remove spyware wasn't made up by the fact that the author of the software claimed just that, because of the fact that the software itself claims to have found and eliminated spyware from your computer.

I had a horrible computer BOT that the dude controlled my computer or something it shut down every 10 minutes. I went to Ctrl+Alt+Delete>Task Manager>Processes, I then highlighted everything running, clicked End Task, my computer crashed. I reinstalled with system reboot (not recovery, this reinstalls computer, not setting back to an earlier time)And I installed nothing to remove the virus, completely fine. :) All gone bad virus wooh!

Never had a problem running both avast and avg, have been using both for about two years now, even when setting up the programs no warning signs came up about another anti-virus program running.

Maybe other anti-virus programs will conflict with each other but have not had a problem running these two.

I have had this for a year or two now and it also works well with Vista. I also have AGV antivirus both run well in Vista. Both versions where FREE. I could pay for more protection with AGV but not right now but SpyBot come highly recomended by me a 20 year computer user and custome builder.
