  • My only issue with S3 is that Avon should have got out of prison 2-3 episodes earlier.

  • Man, pretty much everyone has a boss huh!

  • Man I wished the wire came back, for real!

  • avon had the power bell had the brain thats it

  • Everyone always favor Avon's way of thinking, but Stinger was speaking the truth. You can't stay in the game forever because the game is rigged.

  • heres the difference... Avon was ready to get out there and take those corners back himself. Stringer isn't hard enough for the game. he goes to slim charles to take care of his own personal shit with clay davis... its no wonder he got capped in the end. theres no reforming the game

  • Avon was right about Marlo even if he let him have his corners Marlo would of tried him eventually thats just how he is

  • Malik Jubal-Listen! Let him tell me, we hired him for muscle! Greattttttttttttttttttttt line by Avon.

  • Stringer never would have made it on his own. He needed Avon, the soldier, to get where he was. And without a soldier, even an enforcer, he'd never keep his place. Unfortunately when an economy operates outside the law - and this applies to international economics too, since many countries say fuck the law - force is a big thing, and no one gives a fuck about smart guys like String.

  • Avon's an ass. Stringer should have put a cap in him.

  • Why did Cutty and Slim Charles dump their guns? They didn't even fire them.

  • @KevinLockard23 If you had guns on you and 20 some odd shots done went off with two dudes murdered in broad daylight in the vicinity that you're in, would you really chance it trying to go back with large firearms on your person, especially if the cops shall be coming momentarily? If so, you're trying to get locked up. They had to toss them shits.

  • @KevinLockard23 cause it still had bodies on them and the blues was comin through

  • @KevinLockard23 They were clean guns, but since shooting had began, they didn't want to be running to the car with guns. The cops would have charged them for every crime since Lincoln! Malik Jubal

  • Thats wat the driver get! All he had to do was wait a few mor mins.. nene got a lucky shot tho.. if it wont for that shot the plan may had still worked out better than it did

  • Avon was a fool. Stringer had everything set up perfectly and all he had to do was play along. He couldn't get over the gangsta mentality.

  • @seekisforme5 that's one way of looking at it, though as Avon pointed out to String, "There will always be a Marlo." Still, Avon later admitted that Stringer was right. It's one of the biggest ironies of The Wire that Avon actually survived, and will probably live to be an old man.

  • this show has some of the best fuckin dialogue i ever heard. that's the reason i can watch it over and over.

  • "I'm just a gangsta I suppose" .... definitely one of my favorite lines in the whole series.

  • who da fucc is Marlo...what he wit da mob or something...Classic

  • That driver is reckless and retarded, all he had to do was stick to the plan and everything probaly would have been gravy, but noooooooooo he wants to be the one to say he did all the work. They got spotted by the dude on the bike, they didn'y know it but the dude in the passenger side even said there could be spotters. He drives over there and exposes him self to gun fire like a moron, and just like Slim and cutty said, driver gets poped, car crashes and everyone in it is fucked. MORON!!! -_-

  • avon checked stringer at :20---let u know who was in charge

  • Cutty and Slim could had handled that shit by themselves.

  • Basically this shows that the BARKESDALE down fall was because of AVONS inability to grow up and evolve. He that type still wanna bang at 50. SMH

  • "They gonna have that DNA shit all on them". LMAO damn Slimm is hilarious.

  • "They gonna have all that DNA shit on them". LMAO damn Slimm is hilarious.

  • yea he do talk like hes slow but he would was a soldier back in the day but like fruit told him he one of marlo boys he told cutty this aint back in the day !! he wasnt no joke when he slap the shit out of that young girl in the face because she wouldnt tell two of barksdale boys she told them get the fuck out my way they wanted to to her to find out about her pussy wip boyfriend was he was stealin from avons camp he slap her and said we gown talk i dont hit females but it was funny ass hell

  • stringer bell was good but he didn't had the heart like avon though

  • I'm losing my motherfuckin' mind, man

  • If Weebay, Stinkum, and Bird nem were still Avon's muscle he woulda had those corners back in no time.

  • @GRG313 when Avon got arrested SLim Charles had sights on Marlo but nobody answered because of the raid and the only reason Avon got arrested was because of Stringer so he's the blame

  • The one (tiny) thing that annoyed me about Slim Charles was the fact that his braids made a racket every time he moved his head.

  • Best show ever

  • 5:29 "What about shorty boy?"

"Shorty boy went and cleaned his old act up"

    (Avon: wtf)

"Yeah i know, fucked us all up"

    LOL

I love slim charles, he makes even normal lines sound either funny or hard.

  • Does that one dislike belong to Marlo Stanfield?

  • God damn I loved the little time Slim and Cutty had together. It was such a tender moment to see. :')

  • @smoke039 tender?

  • Kiss the sky nigga........

  • Whats better than this shyt?

  • young boy ran us off the corner????

  • Cutty didn't have no gloves on. He a convicted felon, and with two murders happening so close to where they dumped their guns......no way the police wouldn't find them shits.

That about one of the only fuck ups i've seen in this show. It is usually realistic down to a T. Love The Wire!!

  • Maybe the cops investigating weren,t very thorough

  • ha I just typed in "I want my corners" hoping this would come up--awesome

  • cutty talk like a slave lmao

  • hahahaha "Last we seen Gerrard he was racin' bullets up on Fayette street. He appeared to be winnin' too" *shrug* hahaha Slim was bombbbbb

  • i felt bad that country died.....he was a good soldier he just got caught up with some dumb niggas....

  • Comment removed

  • @fukyourmom

    who was country??

  • @MachineGunMouth country was the passenger in the shootout who was tryna tell chipper (the dumbass driver) too wait on cutty's phone call

  • because Brother Mouzone felt that barksdale or somebody in barksdale crew, namely stringer bell had set him up to be shot, stringer had lied to Omar telling Omar it was Mouzone who had tortured and killed his boy Branden. Hence Mouzone went back to NY and put a hex on the barksdale boys

  • Listen to the names of the muscle at 5.00 Black Donnie, Peacock, Eggy Mule, shorty boy!!! ha!! Classic!!

  • "Black Donnie said that Brother Mouzone put a hex on all of us" - what does Slim Charles mean by this?

  • @kandinskyforfootball He means that Brother Mouzone has gone back to new york and told people not to work with the barksdale crew, a hex is like a curse, sort of thing

  • why?

  • @kandinskyforfootball Don't take like a hex in the sense of it being a curse.. What Slim meant was working with them (the Barksdale crew) will be bad for your health.. Its like someone giving a girl you may like a bad reputation on the street.. Just not a good look..

  • "I'm losing my motherfucking mind, man!"

  • THE BLACK VERSION OF TONY AND SIL

  • Poor Avon... nigga just wanted his corners.

  • @Japhro77 hahahahahahaha shieet

  • Avon wanted his Corners and Stringer Explained that the Game had changed

Stringer wanted to wotk with Clay and Avon knew he didnt want anything to do with him.

If they worked together like they always had, they would have continued to build on their empire.

However working apart lead to their downfall and the demise of the barksdale organisation...it's shame to see, but a real eye opener...gotta love The Wire

  • ghost right though cause when you shootin wit a pistol like that under pressure the gun be off center a bit till you pay attention to the sights and adjust. that ole silly ass fat nigga got his head cracked up good though, dumb fucker haha.

  • @MrDampkring I agree don't forget bey

  • ""I say we take them"" That fat guy driver is hilarious, LOL

  • @Moution23 lol word got his head aired too

  • @Moution23 The fat guy driver is an idiot. Fucked up the whole shit.

  • "You about to earn your keep around here". Avon was the best, always kept it real. Him and Slim are 2 of my fav characters.

  • This made me fuck wit Avon. Im bout to kill this nigga myself. Yo got on some military shit

    I want my corners

  • thanks for this ,

  • "Yea, I ain't no suit-wearing businessman like you. You kno, I'm jus a gangsta i suppose. I want my corners." PRICELESS !!

Wit Avon it wasn't about the money. U had to have been in "the game" before to understand where he was comin from.

  • @will434usmc Yea but Stringer's dead, Barksdale's back in Jail and lost power to Marlo whose the new King of the Street.. It all for nothing!!!!!!!!!

  • That means I roll in "hands-on" or I ain't even rolling in.

  • I love Avon's view of thinking. It goes a little bit something like this: "If I ain't in the motherfucking pit getting dirty, then I ain't in the pit at all!". Completely agree.

  • How did Gerod not get hit

  • @Rayman77792 "Last seen Gerod man he was racing bullets up on fayette street he appeared to be winning to" LMAO!!!!

  • @Rayman77792 Gerod didnt get hit becuase handguns arent 100% accurate in that distance. Infact, whoever hit that fuckin driver had a nice lucky shot. The driver fucked this whole thing up by not waiting for the call

  • @GhostDeany the driver got shot passing by the jeep which the shooter was using as a shield and from that distance it would be simple to shoot especially since the driver's hands are on the wheel and the other guy is shooting him using a jeep to sheild him u see the shooter shoot over the hood and then pull back behind the jeep when the car crashes i been to baltimore it's not like nyc streets that are wide wow i had a brother mouzone breakdown moment Reform Ghost Reform lol!!!

  • @supreme796 Of course it can be done, but the majority of people think that its simple and that anybody can hit a moving target with a handgun, or even a non moving target at a far distance, and its really not something that "everybody" can do easily is all im saying. You always get the guy that comments and goes "how can they miss! i would of hit that!" etc.

  • Avon at the end reminded me of Marlo in the scene in the jail. Both lost their composure.

  • avon was stupid this nigga just came home because of bodies remember d angeleo told you that in season 1 they was good on the money side all he had to do was just chill until the heat got off em.

avon couldnt even get them a good connect, string had to set that deal up.

  • so true pandasweather......stringer saved marlo big time.....when i first watched the wire..i thought stringer was the man......but watching it all back....avon was the brains....and he was tough enough for the streets.....couldnt belive it when the ploice raided him...b4 he could end marlo

  • Avon's making the same mistakes as his muscle here. They almost have the same lines. "We can't wait! What will Avon/the streets think? Forget about Cutty and Slim/Stringer and Slim. What are we gonna look like?" He acted so much smarter when he was being low-key in season 1.

  • What people don't realize after watching the series is that Avon WAS tough enough for the streets. However as Avon said, Stringer wasn't tough enough for the streets and wasn't smart enough to be "out there."

Avon was just about to put and end to Marlo when Stringer sold him out to the cops. Avon gave up Stringer to Mouzone because Stringer played Mouzone. Stringer had a debt to pay after tricking Omar to get Mouzone.

Avon was tooling up with grenades. Grenades! Stringer saved Marlo.

  • @pandasweater Stringer was trying to save the connect the had with Prop Joe/The Co-op, sure Barksdale would have taken out Marlos crew if Stringer hadnt gone to Colvin but they would then have no product to sell. Stringer was right, all those corners dont mean shit if you dont have a quality connect.

  • String was a fool trying to be a business man. You saw what clay davis did to him. Man I wished this shit would have worked out for Avon. FUCK MARLO

  • @gsdblack1

Dont worry, when Marlo goes to jail..hes gonna be working for AVON hahahha.

  • Comment removed

  • Avon should have listened to String. String never should of sent Avon away though, snitchin.

  • See what happens when dumb fucks don't listen.

  • SSSSSSSHHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTT

  • Stringer has the look in his eyes and Avon failed to pick up on the transition of elevation so he chose to stay in the same place instead of changing to grow taller. Simple as that...

  • Its funny how Avon and Marlo didnt give 2 shits about the money or order they just cared bout the rep and thats all lol

  • love the way avon says buisness

  • Nigga's shoulda waited for that call....That Nigga Ne Ne twisted his cap back....

  • Listen! Let him tell me! We hired him for muscle! Yo can you upload the full episodes?

  • WHO DRIVIN?

  • @yungadizzle slim charles

  • @PentagramSchematic

i know i was just repeating what slim said to the crew..

  • @yungadizzle yeah, and i was trying to be witty. i failed. sorry, let's move on :P

  • what did the boy on back said to them

  • marlo is the vexed version of avon

thats what they mean by he's what the game breed

avon is usually humble until you diss him

  • Its like the game changed quick once Avon was locked. He came home and was just out of place. Before you know it, he was right back in jail

  • @ 8:01 that picture should be next to the word ''ignorant nigga shit''

  • @duecethird22333 . Exactly! Plus, it was a sound strategy but planning is only as good as it's execution, or soldiers that don't deviate from the plan.

  • lol @ 0:50 String contemplating snitching on Avon

  • @duecethird22333 man shut da fuCK up its a show maan it aint for real fuck u mean contemplating n shiiit

  • @evilfade lol

  • @evilfade well this did actually really happen ...all the events in THE WIRE actually happened during the whole 90's period during the time THE BARKSDALES were running the show .. Its more than just a show ...ITs the truth

  • @Dwaynesname30 Hell yeah it's truth. That's why I love this show. All these other shows are fake.

  • they gna have them dna shit all on em

  • who cares if he's hollywood Avon is the boss "Im just a gangster i suppose and I want my corners"

  • who cares if hes hollywood Avon is the boss

  • I used to live on Fayette street, man what a fucked up area! Glad I got outta Baltimore, they really protray what it's like, no doubt...

  • @TheMorbidmirage

The inner city is fucked and yes fayette has its darkness but when you say baltimore you pin pointing a cloud on it and the county well the sides that aren't getting turnt out is still a beautiful place that has my beautiful women so say the inner city or a direct area ..I hate that my hometown is falling to shit ... theres still alot of good there ..

  • @TheMorbidmirage That's why I love this show. It's the fucking truth. NO LIES!!!!!!

  • @ndc18 I know right! Not like "The Shield" where it's all Hollywood bullshit, "The Wire" shows the nitty gritty side of B More city!!!! I went to BBH (Baltimore Behavioral Health - rehab) and it's right off of Pratt street by the Raven's stadium. Most of these scenes' is right there and maaan it's crazy how well this show portray's the drug scene here!? I'm glad someone knows what I mean!

  • String wuz a bitch,Avon played the only way he knew,I want my corners..............

  • Avon had no enforcers. Marlo did. end of story. Chris & Snoop come off very cold but I think they are more humane than Avons enforcers who used to do drugs and torture. Marlo was just cold.

  • @calvary1980 Chris and Snoop tortured that old blind man Butchie remember and Chris smiling at that innocent delivary woman before shooting her, that was ice cold.

  • Avon was hard...but not as hard as Marlo.

  • @WiseGuy5674 Avon Was Harder Than Marlo But He Aint Have A Lot Of Chances To Get Him

  • "We gonna handle our end, ya'll just make sure there's some work left for us" Famous last words!

  • @jeff2all lmao they were some dumb mf's they should had stuck to the plan lol

  • "I ain't no suit wearing business man like you. I'm just a gangsta, I suppose" Avon Barksdale.................CLASSIC !!!!!!!

  • There is always one dummy fucking shit up. wait for the call stupid!

  • Slim Charles a smart man. Said keep the gloves because they gonna have that DNA shit all over them. I love him.

  • @Meela234 yes slim charles i forget about im ny last post ima so in love with slim charles aka big g

  • Can Omar be the best character ever created for a TV show?

  • @schnfld87 i love this shit cuz its real i love wood harris and iris elba they are fukk sexy actors they had harris in all seasons its just fukk up how stringer fukk him over he was behind all the shit it teaches you the game is the game muthafukker are goin played when you in the streets and lock up i would married wood sexy ass

  • "Since when do we buy corners...we TAKE corners"

  • ain't shit.... [PAUSE]... they could say

  • "since when do we buy corners....we take corners"

  • thats what happen when u take rookies with u marlo was smart but slim n cutty had rookies with dem if weebay or bird was home it woulda been different

  • @4010gibsonst yeah but they weren't!

  • stringer mess everything up playing away games dat fool wasnt loyal

  • man avon had good soldiers but then when marlo came in it showed how weak his crew actually had became during his time beyond bars

  • what season is this from?

  • @thesicilian0ne season 3

  • 25 mill a yr and he wants his corners? String was right.

  • wasnt about the money at that point

  • @BigPostal was stringer really rite

oo what happened to him at the end and i wonder y u went that ways

  • @BigPostal yEAH String was right but String wasn't playing by the rules. he went to Clay of all people. he went to the wrong people so his ideas were on target but his execution of the ideas and putting them in action was OMG STUPID. avon SHOULD HAVE CUT ALL TIES with stringer because as you can see, STRINGER BELL and avon's DINOSAUR MENTALLY ON THE drug game brought the BARKSDALES to non-existence.

  • @BigPostal exactly hes got all the money he cud want . He just wanted power.

  • @BigPostal Exactly 25 mill he had all the money he could want , but hes a gangster power is just as import to him

  • @BigPostal Exactly 25 mill he had all the money he could want , but hes a gangster power is just as if not more important to him

  • @BigPostal ..of coarse Stringer Bell was right..McNaulty knew it too. Thats why at Avon's arrest, Jimmy pauses and looks back up the stairs toward String..He knew who was the smart one..and the most dangerous of the 2

  • "shorty boyd went and cleaned his whole ack up"...lol@slim's accent...in terms of authencity I think the wire will be look back on as a classic....very underrated

  • He's from DC. Not to take anything from him, but it's not exactly hard to do that.

  • right..i know he's from DC..my point wasn't that he had an accent but that the writers and producers had the insight to allow him to speak naturally, most shows would have probably hired a dialect coach for slim and a lot of other characters (snoop, spider, o-dog..and a few others)...but to keep the authencity of the show they allowed them to speak in their natural tongue (even if it was hard to understand certain words)..rather than try to appeal to the masses and make every word understandable

  • @darrenlaking good point. very insightful, and true. because it was a couple times where snoop had me like "what?" "the fuck did she just say?" but i loved it tho. will always love the wire

  • fuckin idiots should have waited for the call

  • anyone know the brand of avons shirt in the last part?

  • state property

  • hey thanks bro- and who the fk would give me a thimbs down for a question?

  • Just thumbed you up ineffect, don't know why people thumbing down we all love the wire here. We're like a close knit community here on these youtube vids. I'm telling you, if Stringer didn't fuck up and rat Avon, Avon would have picked that phone up and Slim Charles would have busted lead in marlo and chris's domes. I would have gladly watched with butterpopcorn.

  • @ineffect01 hahahahahahahaha

  • fku skrealz! lol nah u dont watch this show- wat u find so funny eh? have u been stalking my profile perhaps? didnt realize your strict gym scheduale allowed for much time for that kind of thing, put ur time to use maybe time on the arms man? i mean no offence but after i pump u full of lead ur arm would make the perfect pencil HAHAAHAH LOL

  • mmm, actually i didnt give you the original thumbs down, i saw it on my home page and decided to give you another one aswell, everyone out there hates you and no i dont watch it

  • @ineffect01 thimbs?

  • thumbs*

  • Avon and Stringer wanted two totally different things at this point. Avon wanted respect, Stringer just wanted to make money. Personally, Im with Stringer ideology. Who cares how many corners you got when you locked up? I'd rather make and spend the money free.

    To each his own though...

  • right

  • @wesleyshawn . Respect over money. No matter where u go and what u do. People like u because u have money, people respect u cause of your word. So what, ,is it to have money and no one respect you, that translate into people always trying to take advantage of you and that rep will follows you where ever you go and folks are going to treat you according to that rep. Whereas if you have the rep of respect people will treat you like that and then money will follow. To me INTEGRITY is everything.

  • @wesleyshawn Absolutely. You hit the nail right on the head.

  • @wesleyshawn The problem is, in the game, you ain't shit without respect. Stringer learned that the hard way.

  • YOUNG BOI RAN US OFF THE CORNER? LOL

  • "Since when do we buy corners. We TAKE corners".

  • 05:05

    Black Donnie

    Peacock

    Heggy Mule

    Shorty Boy

this scene cracks me up. They must have loved coming up with those names

  • What about Peter Zeeke?
