Who is this chap and what's the name of the band? It's a good performance but not without its clicks and clips. Over all he has a good sound but the performance is generally under tempo for my tastes.
juist wandering why he would be sitting down, i always prefer the standing when playing solos, though having said that he does a very good job of a not easy piece
I think he did an outstanding job. Pantomime is a chop buster. Try performing the entire peice top the bottom and hitting the high Eb. Not as easy as it seems than playing a part of the peice and hitting it.
that's because the euphonium's lead pipe is curved so that it's harder to get the brassy edge. notice how the trombone has a straight lead pipe, which makes it a lot easier to get a brassy sound
I've never played this solo, but judging by his fingers that last note is a Eb, rather than a D, since he uses 1 for the preceeding note, which sounds like it is 1 octave lower. Eb is a nasty note to tune up there!
I dont think he's playing on a York. They look a lil different. If your a euph player try one out! Try the Eminance,.. not only does it look great, plays great aswel... and why would he put in that high note in the slow section... sounds a bit daft,.. but yeah some good playing tho!!! And sitting.. hmmm!!!

The soloist chooses a sitting position to play
because he had surgery in his back and he can't stay on his feet for a long period of time
dbass90 4 years ago
cheers, didn't know that, i think that this shows he is a very adept player and i have nothing but praise for him

Did anyone else notice that there were about 3 girls in that entire band?
Also, that last high note was an E-flat.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
my god...3 girls??? I thought they got rid of women who play instruments....or do anything other than cook and clean.

in ur guys opinion what do u think is better, trombone or baritone and why?
maydevilcry345 4 years ago
ok i meant trombone, baritone, AND euphonium lol and why
maydevilcry345 4 years ago
I don't think either is better. The are both beautiful instuments with distincitly different sounds and stengths.
enotirab 4 years ago
Honestly, I feel that a euphonium has a nice sound, and warmer than that of a trombone and baritone.

I Spole to soon It Was good Til the fast part and yeah it would of been better with out the cracks.
Oh by the way I beleave the High D at the end works better open or 1 and 2 sounded sharp overall good performance
