Is it possible that this software can make a restore cd where it reinstalls xp for me and also the previous programs that I had installed at the point which i created the cd's. I dont mean is it creates a separate partition on my HDD when u purchase a compr from the stores you get a master cd where it enables you to do a full cold reset installing xp again and the software that you bought with the computer? I just don't want to have to keep on installing windows, and then install each software
Someones help would be appreciated, okay I made a backup of my system/programs and documents, desktop, ect. to an external hardrive. I installed xp professional on my averatec 6200 laptop because I had XP Home. I tried to recover my backups to my hdd and restore all my programs and documents, but I couldn't get the program to recover them, nothing was installed on my laptop after the recovery process. help would be appreciated....

Stay away from Acronis True Image 2010 it's full of bugs. We used it to clone the drive on an laptop. After doing so we got a message saying that the copy was good, however we were unable to boot from the new drive. After 4 weeks we got an email from Acronis saying that "we don't recommend using the home and office product for critical backups"
