Extremely low-budget comedies are way funnier than a high-budget ones. I mean I love how cheesy they were! The blood was so fake, the lines were so stupid (which made them memorable), and I couldn't stop laughing at the way this movie ended. Monty Python really knows how to make you laugh. HILARIOUS!!

At 1:22, I'm sitting here thinking, " it would be so cool to go to England and see all of the beautiful castles like the one in the background".

And then it falls over. A billion bravos and laughs to everyone that made this movie. I first saw it almost 20 years ago, now here I am with kids that can say almost every word of it too.

this is the 68th best film ever made according to IMDB, it is cheap budget, it was funded by friends of the Pythons, hence not being able to afford real horses and resorting to coconuts, but despite its lack of looking like a well put together movie i think it remains to be one of the best movies ever, if you havnt seen it before and want a good laugh i deffo reccomend watching it!

Don't forget when this was first screened the audience wouldn't have had a sodding CLUE what was going on at the start. I love the lack of enthusiasm - 'It has a fairly exciting story...' and 'So, if you're an intellectual midget, and you like giggling a lot, you could so worse that see...' Genius. Any younger viewers that haven't seen this film, grab it because it kicks the arse out of every comedy released since 1985. You wouldn't believe how many films steal from it.
