@MrDikybird yeah basic. But let me tell you something.. many great composers and myself believe that it is harder to make a unique song as simple as mary had a little lamb, than an intricate song like stairway to heaven.

reason being there are only 12 notes int he world. It is just freakishly hard to create a simple melody that hasnt been used yet! UNless you make it a 30 note melody...

Its easy to make a cool ass riff and then your vocal melody is short and not so melodic.

I agree that Chad was good. Really good. He formed pretty much the percussion structure for Nirvana. But I also think that Dave is really good. As well as Taylor Hawkins. They both have somewhat the same style.

I don't listen to Weezer & didn't have very high expectations, but this was better than I was expecting, to be sure. Nobody can top the original, though. The best Nirvana cover, in my opinion, is Otep's cover of "Breed." She really made it her own.
