As a jazz, blues and funk player, I have always found this song tight. The musicianship is excellent. It has the hook groove, the sexy female vocal, great guitar solos, unique drumming and of course.....the cowbell!

Has the current incarnation of Lynyrd Skynyrd ever performed this song in concert? They really should. Gary Rossington is now the only original band member left in the reformed band. And Dale Krantz-Rossington has been a backup singer with the band since they reformed in 1987.

@Jefgg u know i grew up loving skynrd the actual skynrd. but all things have thier time thats what makes things special.u can get by replacing a member and they did king with gains burns with pyle ,but if u cut the head off (ronnie) the band dies, the chemistry with ronnie allan and gary made them great.tha said r.c. was a fantastic band they didnt try to be something they werent ; just rocked on! some things should be left well enough alone not milked for all ther worth/no tribute exploitation!

How do you rebound from such an amazing band as L.S. Knowing that you lost your best friends in a plane crash that you survived, how can you pick up your instrument and play ANYTHING that doesn't bring you back to your friends, what was and what happened? To get through all that, AND make an album in 3 years is beyond amazing. All the emotion that went into that album must have been physically exhausting.

I was blastin' thru youtube vids and found this one. The sound quality wasn't that great so I was about to click on the video directly to the right of your post & the words "Tangerine Bowl" JUMPED OUT AT ME!! I was at that concert. Unbelievable!! Fantastic!! Phenominal!! That next day we went back home to Ft. Lauderdale to the Button South and saw Ted Nugent. He is awesome live!!
