The first successful uterus transplant in a non-trans woman was carried out in October of 2011 in Turkey. We will see if she has a pregnancy.

Kim Petras does not fit in the LGBT group. What does transgender have to do with being gay anyways? Kim has lived as a girl since age 2. So she doesn't even remember ever thinking she was a boy. She never had a transition. Is anyone slightly concerned by her parents decision? I think Kim is beautiful, and I take no issue with her change, but I find it weird that her parents did it. As children we all lack the mental capacity to rationalize our decisions, and thus we all chase strange dreams or go through fazes. I don't see Kim even thinking of trying to surgically get pregnant in this lifetime. She can easily adopt if she ever wants to have kids. The closest she CAN get to that though is breast feeding a baby. It's very possible because she was treated early and so developed fully without any implants. Breast feeding is something a "real" man can never do. Taking certain hormones can induce that if she wishes.
Bottom line is whatever you feel about her not being 100 percent woman, if you are a decent person, if you met up with her you would respect and treat her as one...because unlike most other transsexuals she actually has lived as a girl since she was two years old. So in essence that is not her fault. Therefore if people treat her like a woman instead of calling her a man or a boy..it would make her life much easier and less complicated then it has already been since she HAS been bullied over it.

I know two women who cannot get pregnant. One has had a hysterectomy. Sadly, she claims she no longer feels as feminine as she did before despite taking HRT. That is all psychological. Kim seems to have more confident in her femininity then that woman does. Her and Kim Petras as just as woman as any other girl (who could STILL have insecurities) that can get pregnant.

Many are still being used in some parts of the world. These cremes will permanently bleach the skin lighter shades, but rarely without serious health risks. I think what occurs is during sex between a mother & father a person can be born with the genetic code of a boy yet certain elements of the genetic code is the equivalent of a girl, I think that's the scientific reason for a boy wanting to be a girl or vice versa.

The lining becomes identical with that of any other typical woman, If anchored properly it does not try to close up. Bearing kids will likely be possible in less than 20 years.

They've also in m to f transsexuals did ovary transplants in the 1990's in China and one woman feminized and ovulated for at least a year. With stem cells I think that they will be able to grow a uterus of the person's own HLA types also so that there won't be a need for anti-rejection drugs.

result in her having a female skeleton including a female greater sciatic notch and also a female subpubic angle to mention a few. An osteologist and physical anthropologist would find Kim's bone structure to be female. But any simple X-ray could tell that. Her facial features are also female.

She DOES have the open space pelvic inlet and also outlet not only to connect the proper neurovascular supply, but also do carry a baby to term .Her pelvis is female and osteologically she is female. There are currently imunosuppresants (anti-rejection) drugs which have been proven to be not harmful to the fetus in a pregnancy.

But it doesn't close up when anchored. For example check out Sava Perovic who anchored it to the sacro-spinal ligament. It is not shorter than a non-transsexual woman's vagina and the lining is exactly as it is in non -transsexual women. Kim started hormones when 12 so she has normal pelvic outlet for baby

Is anyone slightly concerned by her parents decision? I think Kim is beautiful, and I take no issue with her change, but I find it weird that her parents did it. As children we all lack the mental capacity to rationalize our decisions, and thus we all chase strange dreams or go through fazes. I don't see Kim even thinking of trying to surgically get pregnant in this lifetime. She can easily adopt if she ever wants to have kids. The closest she CAN get to that though is breast feeding a baby. It's very possible because she was treated early and so developed fully without any implants. Breast feeding is something a "real" man can never do. Taking certain hormones can induce that if she wishes.

So in essence that is not her fault. I know two women who cannot get pregnant. One has had a hysterectomy. Sadly, she claims she no longer feels as feminine as she did before despite taking HRT. That is all psychological. I think what occurs is during sex between a mother & father a person can be born with the genetic code of a boy yet certain elements of the genetic code is the equivalent of a girl, I think that's the scientific reason for a boy wanting to be a girl or vice versa.
Personally I don't have an urgency to be a girl but I do have certain elements of me that would really like to try it out, I have some elements of me that is quite timid/girly, I think its to do with my genetic code.

Kim has the bone sturcture of a FEMALE. Female hormones at age of 12 (puberty)
result in her having a female skeleton including a female greater sciatic notch and also a female subpubic angle to mention a few. An osteologist and physical anthropologist would find Kim's bone structure to be female. But any simple X-ray could tell that. Her facial features are also female.

@solidusjess I have crossdressed as a lad, and as an adult and I called myself Katie and it was fun. I was as a lad, in my mind a girl Katie and as an adult in my mind I am a woman Katie. When I crossdressed as a lad, I wore skirts, dresses, leotards, swimming costumes and wigs and I felt female. As an adult, when crossdressing, I wore skirts, dresses, tights, wigs, bras and makeup and i felt very female. I have not had gender, reassingment surgery and would need to think about it.

@solidusjess Some transsexuals who have had hormones well after puberty do indeed need facial surgery. Kim has a female structure. About the transplants read the article before making stupid comments. The ovarian transplants were indeed on m to f transsexuals. BTW the transplants were not in males but they were in PHENOTYPIC FEMALES who WERE PHENOTYPIC MALES. You are the one who knows very little and needs to be corrected because you are wrong in just about everything you have written.

@solidusjess Wikipedia is not the best that's for sure. But it will give you a start. Google /Wikipedia Body Shape/ and it will explain that the bone structure of the pelvis and body in general become sexually dimorphic and occur not around birth but instead at PUBERTY in response to hormones.

The skeleton becomes male or female during puberty due to hormones and not at birth. But with the exception of the square jaw, large hands and feet which many supermodels have. The biggest change toward female is pelvis and the doc is right on that. What makes the rest of the skull masculine is testosterone.

@MsCclemente the the information you're citing is not helping your cause if the uterus had been placed in a male sheep then it would be something you can use but since the uterus is being taken out of a biological female sheep it not something that is mind blowing since the sheep naturally already had a uterus..in order for these studies to benifit your argument they would need to be done on someone who is biologically not female and the sheep by the looks of it were all female

@MsCclemente for both the person and the fetus..first nerves and vein need to be connected but since males dont have an open space nor the nerves or veins for a uterus or ovaries how will it be connected to the body..lets say they find a way.since a fetus isnt normal for a male body who knows how the body will react..the body can attack it.also the drugs that a transsexual takes can hurt the fetus..even if science finds a way its not worth experimenting with human lives to get there

@solidusjess Kim was on hormones since 12 years of age. She DOES have the open space pelvic inlet and also outlet not only to connect the proper neurovascular supply, but also do carry a baby to term .Her pelvis is female and osteologically she is female. There are currently imunosuppresants (anti-rejection) drugs which have been proven to be not harmful to the fetus in a pregnancy.

@MsCclemente i suggest you look it up..while doctors can make it look just like a real vagina..its no where near the same..it isnt as deep as a real vagina..also it is an open wound so it needs to be dilated in order to stay open..look it up.. it isnt stretchy and doesn't retain its shape..also there are men with female pelvics..intersex but they arent female..kim does not not have the outlet to have a baby, she just looks and feels like a a women but she isnt a biological women..

@solidusjess it is a real vagina and it is just like a woman who has had a total hysterectomy (cervix and fonices are removed). SRS docs didn't initially attach it to the surrounding fascia. But it doesn't close up when anchored. For example check out Sava Perovic who anchored it to the sacro-spinal ligament. It is not shorter than a non-transsexual woman's vagina and the lining is exactly as it is in non -transsexual women. Kim started hormones when 12 so she has normal pelvic outlet for baby
