Don't download Spyware Doctor either. Especially don't click the download before paying for it or you will HAVE to come back and pay for it to get it removed. It's a scam. Once you download it you cannot remove it without finding a good uninstall program because the uninstall prog doesn't work. (you get error messages). And you cannot use any other anti-virus prog, nor use theirs because it won't work at all. I caught hell getting rid of this crap.

You can try using zonealarm firewall and browser security toolbar. And try using Antivir, avast!, or Microsoft Security Essentials. You can pick any one but don't use zonealarm firewall with another program that already has a firewall.

NEVER keep SD on your PC permanently, it is a resource HOG, RAM hog, system services hog, it even has its own drivers. Don't get me wrong..GREAT program for cleaning up hopelessly infected systems, but will bog down your system regardless if you have 1GB of RAM or 4GB. You'll see a difference if you leave it on your system. Thats the problem with Norton as well, its freakin awesome but its so heavy.

SAS, MBAM, Asquared, Drive Sentry, SpywareDoctor, etc are antimalware programs that are MEANT to be run ALONGSIDE your AV in REAL-TIME. While some ppl report the occasional conflict, this is to be expected. Lots of diff kinds of apps conflict with one another. AVG, SpywareDoctor, Norton & Mcafee don't play well with others. So what. 1 AV+1AM=Clean System. Be warned.

These programs often conflict with either AV or AM. Their codewriters make no great attempt to avoid conflict. That's why I'll never buy their product

You should really do your research before you warn people not to do stuff, thhe best free antivirus software is actually a combination of several different free software programs. If you combine the right programs, you will have a good level of protection for your computer. So just 1 program will not do the complete job

After 2 years using it, I'm also very disappointed with Spyware Doctor. Using my computer lately was like trying to drive a loaded truck with flat tires. And once you have Spyware Doctor, you'll have it forever. Even if you don't want it anymore. I reformatted my HD and they find me no matter what and keep opening windows in my screen saying my computer has viruses to push me download the program again.
