Gotta make sure you have 360 degree oiling to the main bearing and probably best to run a restrictor kit so that when you are hard on it (limiter) things hang together.Tough car but even tougher the fact there was no mechanical sympathy.

Theres a reason why old muscle engine transmissions are only used to go in a straight line. They are too under engineered to be tossed around like that.
