Its not just sadness. Its basically a representation of all the emotions you go through when you lose someone you love. Sadness anger, rage, and then also remembering the good times when that person was alive. Its shows how unpredictable emotions can be at that time
I listen to it as it is exactly how I felt losing my dad.
As a long time Moneen fan, this is by far my favorite song by them. So many emotions in one song with some of the best melodies I've heard. I've seen them three times in concert and asked them to play it all three times but they didn't. :(
@vahnpeebles probably because its too sad for them to go through with playing all the time. i dont blame them. but i also dont blame you for wanting to hear it. you wanted an emotional connection with the band to happen in real time. i always crave that.
to everyone bitching about why this has so few hits...
it's depressing. most people don't like to be sad. if you already are sad and want to hear music that coincides with your sadness, so be it. i do that shit too. but let's face it...you don't want to be sad. no one does. so why go out of your way to listen to music that makes you sad? not saying this song sucks, either. it's good. it's just depressing. don't see why everyone needs to be as sad as you, though.
@dashidash sorry to shit on your self righteous parade but if you look at the views of Johnny Cash's cover of Hurt I disagree. Possibly the best song he ever played. People listen to sad songs to feel something, to be moved not entertained.
@Silverstein4 I've never heard of Moneen before. I randomly clicked a link and there this video appeared. If the rest of their stuff is anything like this I think I'll like them...but seriously dude...you REALLY expect lots of people to know about this band? They're not plastered all over every building and webpage and billboard across every nation in the world, unlike some...but they're with you, so keep spreading the word if that's your thing, or just enjoy the goodness. :)
@Lastman0nEarth they were underground as all hell when i started to listen to them... when i was thirteen. I'm twenty one now and I still come back to them. I remember listening to Wrath of the Donkey and feeling elated. They're not only a great band, but also wonderful people. If you ever see them live try to meet them and talk to them, hilarious, talented and nice guys : )
Ya, beautiful track. Pretty sure it's about his grandmother, who he was quite close with. I can't believe how few hits the vid has. Wake the f*** up d***** bags.
Un beau gar m'a raconté une belle histoire de sa belle imagination. Il voit des lions et des jungles et de passion quand il entend cette chanson. Il sera toujours magique pour moi.
when the screaming comes in near about 5:00 i start sobbing. every mother fucking time.

The first time I heard this band was when they played this song live. Its a song with raw emotion. 8 years on still one of my favourites.

@lynchaxxonn This song came out 8 years ago. If you're comparing it to newer music you might want to switch it around.
