To me music is first of all about MUSIC ITSELF a pure musical aspect. Lyrics are just an addition...just a bonus...
Yet today its other way around everyone is trying so hard to make either philosophical lyrics or some "cool" lyrcis but musical part has been completely neglected...it very often boils down to just "tum clap! tum clap!" and that's today's music basically(hip hop is great example)
