DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO QUANTIZE THE ENDS OF MIDI NOTES IN LOGIC? i get how to quantize the notes but whenever i do it only snaps the beginning of notes to the nearest division... but the end of the note wont snap! Please help
Q: Why do u need to quantize? I understand the need but can u still make a decent recording...This is for my own use of making my first official cd..Just curious.
You don't have to have it, but to stay competitive in the recording field you do need to know everything about it. Not every musician is an awesome player. I know awesome players that I still use quantization on, It can change the feel of a groove for the better or the worst. To answer your question " Can you still make a good recording with out it?" Yes you can, But if you can't always get the best players you can use quantization. With good algorithms, you can quantize audio as well.
