Funny thing,is they mentioned the current chief designer as the developer of this car, but what i recall that this was a Chris Bangle project and it was him who presented the original concept in the press release, just a fews days after he quit BMW... so you can see why it can be such a horrid car for some, which i personally think it is. if they intended to make something new,why not make it as beautifull as it can be?!

I use to think the bmw 5er GT was an aboslute eyesore, designed for blind people with more money than sense! But then i saw it in real life and i was amazed at how elegant and proportional it looked and i realised that blind people cant drive. Anyway i'm still not convinced by the front and rear lights or the grill but as a piece of design, it looks better executed in real life than in photos.

I am a marketing student. and kudos to BMW for taking youtube seriously as a marketing outlet. even though most people on youtube are fairly young and unable to afford beamers at the moment, it does speak volumes in readying future consumers.

I personally loved BMW all the way till E34, E36 and E60, but the newer ones are simply horrible.

Where's that old promise "Always manual gear" ? All I see is automatic bullshit and a stickshift that looks like a videogame joystick. Man... What happened? The cars all look the same! Where's the unique concept? Where's the thing that separates it from the mass? WHERE?

I have just seen my first one of these and from afar I thought it was a new 7 Series but a little smaller and as it drove by I realized that it was a new 5 GT and I gotta tell you I absolutely loved it.
