Aion - Level 38 Sorcerer Soloing Elites

im about to start playing Aion, im lookin for a class that can solo (or Kite) tough monsters.

2 classes comes to mind: Spirit Master & Sorc.

what do u recommend .?

would great if any1 can tell me the diff between these two classes.

Sorc & Spirit master & Cleric & ranger can solo elites, but sorc / SM faster than those two.. spirit master is probly the best class to solo with, sorc is a bit slower not much, sm has a pet and dots, sorc is more casting ^_^

I keep dying soooooo fast monsters 5 lvls lower than me kill me if I pay less attention.

Is it really worth it? wouldent completing quests and killing ordinary mobs be much more efficient?

Thank u 4 the video,it was of great interest. I tried ur techniques & there were another sorc & a ranger kiting the Mist Mane elites (I'm also 39 sorc). It was fail 4 me. 1st I use Ice Chain like you did but they always resisted the 2nd skill of the chain that roots them so came up 2 me fast. Then when they were 10m out,they would root me & damage me greatly.I barely escaped. OR,I could kite them 4 a while down the path but then they would turn away & go back. I almost got 1 or 2 but didn't. :(

@Silvergren95 nope this ain't WoW, i could lure a lower level raid boss into a town (which is making it run like half a map)

hey besides the flight timer, is there anything to stop you from flying like 10ft over his head and just casting down?

@Ars3nalFC95 one of the advantages ranged characters has is the flight combat, in the abyss u can fly around where ever u want, find an enemy player and just drop on him from above, they wont see it coming (unless they are really careful), nothing more fun then drop on a player and cast a huge meteor on him :D

@Silvergren95 Mages are great 1 - 10 and 10 - 20 they are still pretty damn good 20 - 30 they still stay average and they get a little better at 30 you start seeing improvements until at 40 they are almost completely done with getting the important spells and from there on out to 50 their spells just get stronger and they get a few more. Sorcerers are the hardest class to play in my opinion. Better be good at keybinding or you are screwed. Nice vid, good sorc. Keep it up

i had today some freaking impossible meeting whit one Elyas sorcerer there was me 30 sorcerer few mates those were 30-34 and one 45 whit us then there comes one awesome geared FREAKING good player who killed us all ''we were these Asmodians''that guy had some reall skill,i mean when tank came he made him tree when we tried to cast spells on him he used some sleep,and curses to make us imbollisted and then he pwn3d our tank and hten us one by one and he didnt even have a scrath..well few..

Question...! =D did you change the camera speed so you can look back faster? And is the keybind for sorceror really difficult or just moderate? Have you played any other classes on Aion yet? =D

I really liked the vid...! I understand the whole kiting thing and skill rotation a lot better now =D

na the cam speed is at normal rate, and the key binds are not too simple for a sorc, we have so many of them u start to miss places to bind them too :p

@Yusio Templars are amazingly fun they never die when soloing and they are the by far easiest class to level up as although they may be a little slower on dealing damage damage is not what they are built for, so you can't say their damage needs to be higher. If you just want to level fast with out almost ever ever ever dieing just go temp they are really fun and not too hard

u can kite them as far as u like, as long as u keep doing damage to them it would keep following you.

playing games like this are indeed take a big chunk of ur time, but if u manage ur time well (dont let the game be ur priority over other things) theres no problem what so ever.

sorcerer are about nukes, while spiritmasters are pets and DoTs

I wanted to ask you something else. You seem to always use the time between the cast animation which keeps you immobile for like 0.3 seconds to kite back. Is it efficient or are you just used to doing it? I mean I don't make use of this because I thought the advantage you get isn't that great, but you seem to use it like always. Do you think it should always be used?

only reason i use it is because of the lag i had in china, compared to the no lag on NA even if i try "using" that delay i usually end up canceling my spell because theres no delay.

if u do have a delay then yes u should use it, gives u an extra 2-3m of movement away from the mob, always nice :P
