The Wildlife Park in San Diego Has a large Herd 15-20, Disney's Animal Kingdom has a small herd between 4-8. These are a very rare and most beautiful Oryx species.
there was an oryx species that was extinct in the wild and captive bred and released, not sure if it was this one, anyway it did well until there were poached (AGAIN) and now there are extinct in the wild, AGAIN. jus shows that they can be reintroduced, but the source of extinction must be removed first
The reason why they can get a picture of oneof these animals altough extinct, Is because it is extinct in the wild but zoos have them. We have one in Denver ZOO.
The Zoo of Leipzig has this Animals to :) That they Extinct in the Wild that I dont now :(

Just like the title says: Extinct in the wild
meaning these magnificent creatures are no longer found in the wild - but there are currently some reintroduction efforts taking place

Arghh! The pain! Y do they clip those things on their ears and not on their horns?

Maybe they were transferred here
I know SD Zoo has an excellent program that is helping to conserve endangered species & those extinct in the wild.
As part of this effort, the animal's DNA is also being stored in frozen DNA banks.
