@Jim: thanks God the drumming culture there is still alive, but I've noticed that at some places it's allready vanishing - hard to tell how it's going to be in the future.

not sure about "kinièrè fa" , it´s a substraction of several words, might be "to kill [fa] yourself [i yèrè]"
@mamadykamara It is always a loss to civilization as a whole when a tradition of that sort is lost."Modern" is not always "better," especially in any of the arts.
