@marinlarin Lol..Don't worry about it..Rudess is world-class in the sense that he knows all of his notes and subsequently his scales. He's obviously dabbled in guitar, but more importantly he probably knows every crevice of music theory possible, so it makes playing any instrument much easier. I believe (not certain), but one night his equipment failed. The band just did a 100% on the spot improvised show , and I believe Jordan played the guitar on one of the tracks because I know it wasn't John.. They put out on cd it's called "Liquid Trio Experiment 2 When The Keyboard Breaks"... He sounded really good

note choice and musicality is great as you'd expect from rudess, but his technical ability here is aeons behind his musicality (obviously as his main instrument is not guitar) Its a shame cuz the vibrato and tone were pretty nasty which kinda ruined it- the second part on the keyboards was 110% JR greatness tho :D

Really? Are you saying he just sounds that bad? I definitely don't hear that. He obviously is a guitar player by the sound of it. And it seems clear that he shows a fairly great affinity for the guitar. I don't know about you specifically, but when seeing something like this it's difficult not to compare it to examples of the person playing what they're best and/or better at, especially if it's what they are known for (in this case the keyboard).

you guys are much too serious about the tune thing - it's nota concert- he's jsut doing a demo in his HOUSE - I don't think he cares it the guitar may be a little out of tune - again DEMO in house -bottom line the guy is a KEYBOARD player and A GREAT one and just can't play guitar for accompanyment - like most people who play a secondary instrument - he plays AWESOME - - his doing Fripp-like stuff there and he is a keyboardist!
