Not meaning to start anything bad, but what does everyone love about Nightwish? I've listened to some of their songs and they are good, but how are they "the royalty of this genre", as propertyofjoey said?? I personally would choose Epica over them.

Bleh, no band rules their genre, they all can't deliver enough to truly master it. They all add a small part which adds up to an awesome genre of pure kickass. I hate comparing bands because its far to subjective and based completely on the listener, no matter how "unbiased" people try to be. I listen to ALOT (TOO MUCH) Nightwish, and they are a good band, don't hate them unless you have truely experienced them. I hate Tracedawn, and i listened to their two albums, even though i hated the first.

Simple, they are one of the most popular bands. Look at anything that is the most popular in its field. Halo 3 (a bland FPS video game, that did nothing original) yet people think it is the second coming of christ. Its just the simple phenomenon of retards over rating something, which draws more retards, thus filling the fan base with posers, who idolize the band. Opeth is the same way (my favorite too).

OH YESS at 5:20!! i dont think its a ripoff cuz its so easy to make metal guitar riffs that will sound like anything else, But yes it sounds an assload like it

when you say "evanescence is so much better" you say it as if it was a fact, and not an opinion...

you can say "I THINK THAT evanescence is better..." but dont insult other bands...

btw you cant compare a gothic rock/metal band with a symphonic metal band, you can only say which genre you prefer!

lol im a big fan of symphonic metal, nightwish, withintemptation, delain diehard.

I just think their last record was a little to in your face it sounded the same most tracks....but this one sounds better

I'm not going to enter in this eternal debate to put a band in the metal style above all i have serious doubts about Delain,WT and Nightwish.I like Delain but to say it's a metal band....why not...

I agree I think Delain & Evanescence are much more Hard rock on the verge of symphonic metal......as for W.T. people say their recent material is horrible compaired to their older stuff...as for Nightwish...I still think they're the royalty of this genre

It's quite hard for a metal band to be original.However that's true we often recognize the typical Epica touch in each of their songs.On the other side, if you have ever heard all their albums, you have probably noticed the band plays louder and use more grunts.

:o!!!, excelente!!!, han evolucionado demasiado en su música, las composiciones cada vez más detalladas, manteniendo su temática y con los mismos increíbles coros y fragmentos en Latin que me encantan, EPICA rock!!. Sacaste esto de otro video que terminaba con Consign To Oblivion al final???? Porque ese lo subi pero ya fue cancelado por nuclear blast y el mio era el unico medley que habia. Yo descargue los samples de Amazon la unica pagina que los tiene.
